I'm all for hiding the boxes. Screw the "courteous" users--I'm much more worried about the stupid ones.

I'm leaning toward disabling comments on my LJ and jumping ship entirely at this point. I don't even want to crosspost.

I have a DW account, so I'm probably going to backup LJ to there. I do have separate emails for LJ and FB. I've been considering deleting FB for a while now. The privacy controls, or lack thereof, really bother me. I do want to keep up with some people--mainly those who don't keep up with LJ, but I think I'm good with everything else. If I delete my account, there's no way for LJ and my rl name to be hooked up, right?
