Long!fic tends to do that, love, but I must say, I love it. It's absolutely gorgeous and you've done a fantastic job with this.

I need to reread this again - I saw it when you posted it and read it then, and then a couple of times later and now once more, but I still don't know how to articulate exactly what I want to say. I'm probably too sleep deprived to be coherent anyway.

Though, I HAVE to say, this is probably the best line I've read ever: “...Give her to Xanxus?”

XD Thanks. I'm actually pretty fond of “Canada doesn't have a king either.” Maybe I'm showing my location-specific cultural roots... it's a fairly liberal area, yet still with a crunchy conservative coating. Jokes about Canada are funny here.

^______^ I'm glad you like it. It certainly wouldn't be this long without you. Apparently I have more in common with the late Douglas Adams that I thought: in the posthumous book, The Salmon of Doubt, his editor/publisher wrote that Adams viewed writing as a performance art, and the fastest way to get him to finish the damn book was to sit in the dining room while he ran upstairs, wrote a page, ran downstairs to show it to you, received feedback, and ran upstairs again to write another page... for the entire book.

I'll finish this (I have to, the epilogue is not only finished, it spawned its own RP sequels ^^;;;), it just... er... might take another ten months. Probably not! Since I was working more on it last night instead of writing for my JOB... OTL (I just really, really have to finish the writing for my job (that I'm 10K behind on OTL) before I can work more on this.)

I'm glad, in that case. I always worry about posting my own stories online because I think they're not as good as other people's and end up procrastinating out of it, so I'm happy to encourage another writer.

But yes. Go write for your job. Despite me being curious as anything about the rest of this story and my mind once again frantically at work on my own KHR OCs I'm generally pretty patient and know that priorities are important. Even if I fail at them. Spectacularly. '>>
