"Whatever I have left in the house" pasta salad

Of course, the week that I am totally poor and using up the last scraps of my food is the week that I have to bring in a "covered dish" to work for a luncheon. I decided that I will make pasta salad, unless some other idea strikes me and I happen to have the ingredients for it ( Read more... )

The carrots were actually from a catered event here so they don't really belong to anyone. :P

Just oil isn't a salad dressing. If you have an Italian dressing mix packet, use it, or you could just go with vinegar (red wine or balsamic?), salt, pepper, oregano or thyme, and maybe garlic or onion powder.

Olives would be good, too.

Well I didn't think it was a salad dressing but that's what I have been told is used in pasta salad by the various friends I have asked. I do have italian salad dressing at home, I will use that instead. Thanks!

if you have a dollar tree near you, they have balsamic vinegar - a vinaigrette made with balsamic tastes awesome :)

Wishbone Italian is the dressing of choice at my house; and I also love beans, so I add a can of garbanzos and red kidney beans to mine.
