Ive never heard of cooked jicama! How does it taste different from raw? How does it taste different from potato hash browns?

To me, raw jicama is like a super firm apple with a very light taste of apple. Cooked, it's like potato. It's so firm, though, that you have to do stuff like what I did, or some people parcook it by boiling before things like pan frying.

I've been doing the low carb thing and it's one of the 'replacement' foods people suggest in place of potatos.
