Trashiest Valentine's Dinner Ever?

Feb 14, 2011 19:25

For our actual grown up Valentine's dinner we had three course fondue and that is trashy in its own right, but tonight we somehow topped "throw stuff in cheese and oil and see what happens" night.  What'd we have?

pork tenderloin! )

too lazy to cook, artery-clogging goodness

The husband bought a box of those chicken cordon bleu fillets from the store (he freaking LOVES them and I'm pretty meh about them), so I made those to be nice. With mashed potatoes and broccoli.

At least he is easy to please? The cafeteria has those about every third Friday. They aren't half bad drowned in more melted cheese or ranch.

I'm pretty lucky because he's usually not too difficult to please. My biggest issue with him is that he almost always needs some sort of meat in every meal and I could very easily go without 99% of the time. He doesn't like some of my hippie-dippie meals, as he likes to call them. Which is anything involving a lot of beans, soy, or more non-traditional veggies. I'd say that he's more of a meat-and-potatoes kind of guy, at least overall.

We're having chili sausages (our compromise between his love for frankfurters and my hatred of them) and store-bought carrot cake.

Your sandwich trumps our home-made trash though! That is a thing of beauty!
