With...spices?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

That calls for a splash of Tabasco sauce or a shake of red pepper flakes.

A little heat wouldn't hurt it. But I'm not a fan of too hot to taste food.

Try throwing some bacon salt on it? It'd probably add a more savory flavor to it.

I throw bacon salt in my rice when I cook it, and fry an egg up and put it on top... that's delicious right there.

Although I have seemed to acquire a thing of bacon salt recently... I'll try it.

Try marinating (or just coating) the chicken in italian dressing before cooking, or add some ranch dressing after cooking.

Maybe toss in a chopped garlic clove and sprinkle with lemon pepper, or shake on a tiny amount seasoned salt.

I do this with Rice-A-Roni brown & wild rice, a small bag of chopped broccoli, some chopped chicken or a can of chicken, and a can of Campbell's chicken broth.
Lots of food, reasonably healthy, but fast!

Canned mushrooms, crumbled bacon and caramelized chopped onion that you fried in the bacon grease. :)

your recipe sounds a lot like this one i make: http://www.keyingredient.com/recipes/105618/print/

so all you would need to do to "spice" it up is add onion and garlic powder, maybe some pepper and tabasco too.
