This takes my breath away, Sheera, it's really beautiful. You're so talented :)
Annelise loves colouring mandalas :)

Thanks so much, June! And mandalas are so lovely; I bet they're a great way to get Annelise's creativity growing :)

Very cool. I love your use of form, which is not so easy in LJ just because sometimes it feels like you can add spaces all day adn never have enough indent.

Thanks! And I love playing with form; much easier to do now that I've figured out how to get the blockquote tag to do it for me on LJ, too ^_^

guess what? i don't know what a mandala is!

but this: the earth to grow up through my soles,/and bloom in my veins is beautiful. it reminds me of that part of billie's poem for rose (whose breathing is blooming).

as usual, lovely work, m'dear.

Well, I bet you'd recognize one if you saw it. ;)

And thankies! Flower imagery appeals to me especially after visiting so many farms and seeing it all happen first hand.

until my hands stretch far into the cosmos,

dendritic branches

of my universal unity.

Ooh, I love that image. It makes me wonder what those far-away synapses might connect you to.

"Universal unity" - reminds me, also, of the concept of "interbeing." I just love these creative journeys you take us on from time to time.

Me too! One of my favorite things about writing/reading is all the amazing places it can take our minds.

"Interbeing"--what an interesting word. Really gets my wheels spinning.

And thanks so much for your kind words :)

"Interbeing" - it's a Buddhist philosophy/concept. It's beautifully described by one of my favorite authors - Thich Nhat Hanh.

I'll try to find a good section to send to you. Maybe. I just loaned my two favorite books to one of my students, and that may be the one that had what I'm thinking of.

Oh, I have some of his books. They're on my to-read list... I should really check them out :)

I loved this. It made me feel like I myself was stretching out and growing. :)

But you are stretching and growing :) Sometimes you just need reminders of that ^_^
