Van Helsing earns the distinction of being the worst movie I’ve seen in the last year. I didn’t even make it to the end. How could the movie fail so mightily with Hugh Jackman and ( Read more... )

I entertained myself through most of it by slashing and femmeslashing them with everything in sight.

Mmm. Me and my slash-fiend friend had a nice long laugh at that one.

And the vampiresses, while frightening and vapid and annoying, totally wanted Kate. And who can blame them, really? And Underworld!Kate/Van Helsing!Kate would be tasty, and pretty ass-kicking.

Ah, Kate Beckinsale. Cheers to the tons of femslash you inspire. *sigh*

Maybe you could write fic. Although I've never seen Van Helsing, Kate/Kate is a very nice thought. Mmm.

And that self-insertion fic idea? DO IT. Holy cow, I will so read it. I mean, even if it's slash, I will read it. Because that? That is hilarious.

Hehehe. It's the best way to get through awful movies. The strange thing is that bad movies are so often very slashy. Which is how more than one of them ended up in my DVD collection. *shifty eyes*

If I ever re-watch Kate's bits in Van Helsing, I'll try my hand at fic. But she had the worst accent in that movie; the hotness of her corset and leather boots barely made up for it.

HEE, I AM SO TEMPTED. I'm not sure if I could stop laughing long enough to write it, but oh, I do want to.

Mmm. Maybe it's a good thing I haven't watched the movie yet, since I absolutely love Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale.

Ooh, I know! You could make it a series of self-insertion fics. *blink* No, wait, maybe you'll die laughing. I can't have that.

*pets* There, there. Perhaps re-watching some Torchwood will provide comfort? ;)

OMG, YOU'RE THE ONE DOING THE HAIRSPRAY FIC! XDDDDD Sorry, I'm listening to Corny Collins and thinking about his purple suit and imagining Corny/Mohinder and felt like I needed to share it with the world XD

How could the movie fail so mightily with Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale at the helm?

And Elena Anaya. And David Wenham. SERIOUSLY, that movie is made of all the things that fail. Except for the werewolf, who later played Mr. Shakespeare and is pretty hot.

I am! I'm so excited about it. It's perhaps not my best fic ever, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. Nathan is Corny, Peter is Link, and Chandra Suresh is Motormouth Maybelle, and Mohinder is the lead dancer on his show.

...Corny/Mohinder? *fans self* Oh, lawdy, that would be yummm.

It was pretty shocking, in terms of the pretty to awful ratio. Awful won, which is shocking, considering the sheer amounts of pretty. EPIC FAIL.

LMAO, I wanna read that fic. Now. :P

Corny/Mohinder is so meant to happen, and you know it. They're got the favourite colours of luv *_* Corny and his suit and Mo and his scarf, they're so hot gay adorable.

Well, it'll be done by the deadline, at least. *G*

Ooooh, good point about their colors. And they both have fucking blinding and gorgeous smiles. And they're both kind of idealistic, and willing to put themselves on the line to do what they think is right...so meant to be happen. :D

Sooo much subtext! They were all over her. I just wish they hadn't kept ruining all the best femmeslashy moments with freaky transformations, because they were really weird looking with those huge teeth. o_O

Laurel Canyon? Never heard of it. But it has some fucked-up lesbian!Kate in it?...I might have to queue that.

haha i liked when they were half way transformed. with the fangs and glowy eyes. yeah the hairless flying fox cgi was TOOOTALLY overboard. regular vampires are way more sexy.

Well, I liked the glowy eyes. Just not when they full-out transformed and their jaws got humongous and they looked like the bad lovechild of a werewolf and vampire. *g*

It hath been queued. I love that you're making sure my queue is full of hot-ass women. :D You are doing me a great service!
