Initially, because it meant he could pursue Lois with much less effort, which was good, since one misstep, and he knew he wouldn’t get a second chance.

He can drink coffee all day and there will still be someone who’s had more than him. (Which isn’t quite proof that he’s not a caffeine addict, but close enough for him.)

The very notable lack of bullets whizzing through his office. And the glass is a perk; the bullpen during the pre-printing rush is a sight to behold.

Nobody minds having Jason there; in fact, they’ve become something of a second family for him. Jimmy “happens” to pick up a new toy often enough to spoil him rotten; on Tuesdays, Mindy brings in her nephew and the two of them terrorize the tiles in her cubicle with their paper airplane wars; Polly makes cookies that, through her sheer culinary genius, slip under the radar of all of Jason’s allergies and taste good. Even Perry usually has a smile and a gruff word or two of affection for him ( ... )

I digress.
Love the Richard. Love the caffeine. Love the office and adore the fam.
I'd be hard pressed to find a drabble of yours I *didn't* like, even in those fandoms which are alien to me. In fact, you've gotten me interested in Brimstone and Primeval, but I have to get a hold of them somehow.

Wow, how did you just totally pinpoint my biggest button right there? Big Happy Families are my WEAKNESS. I could probably read and write about them until the end of time and not get bored.
And big happy family crossovers? THE STUFF DREAMS ARE MADE OF. And it's not as if Bruce/Clark/Richard/Lois couldn't work something out. And Johnny could come over for extra fun on the weekends. I'll throw Rogue in there, too, because she and Clark could have some really incredible invincible sex.
Yeah, now I'm the one digressing. XD
Well, if you can download things, just about every fandom I write for is uploaded here for anyone on my flist to snag if the urge ever grabs them :) Brimstone and Primeval, in particular, aren't available on DVD. Brimstone because it was cancelled at 13 episodes and didn't get as much attention as Firefly, and Primeval because it's British. I like it, but not enough to order another set of ( ... )

I am now in pain withholding my laughter because I'm in the middle of a library and you're cracking me up so badly.
I love family. This has been one of the largest draws in Richard/Clark for me because when they and Jason are together, people write them so happily.
I want a big, happy family DC crossover story. Maybe I should do my part for the human race and write drabble it myself. Quality assurance not guaranteed.
Grr, I still haven't gotten around to replying to those lists you wrote me! So many comments, but I'm going over now!

I know what you mean about the "two daddies are better than one" family scenario. It's a nice break from all the angst that comes from negotiating the love triangle, too.
YES! I am now going to rabidly stalk you heartily encourage you to write this XD
Eeep, sorry. *will quiet down-this is a library, after all* Can you tell I'm trying to avoid being productive by rambling in your general direction? *g*

I've read some lovely stories where it's assumed Richard, Lois and Kal-El have negotiated the relationship and are now Happy Together with Jason. That kid is so spoiled. Glee.
[lol] Be sure to remind me about how I doomed myself because with my workload I'm likely to forget.
Are you in a library, too? Hey, I've devoted enough productive hours to your addictive drabbles, it's only fair to reciprocate the favour. :PPP

Really? I've come across a handful, but not too many. *makes big wibbly eyes hoping that links will eventually be passed on to her*
Will do! As fyredancer can tell you, I have the memory of an elephant when it comes to reminding people about fic. XD I'm still bugging her for a strip poker story months later because... dammit... STRIP POKER HOTNESS!
No library for me; I just have a HUGEOMGBRAINEATING organization project laid out before me and fangirling is a lot more fun... ;)

Strip Poker? Who's playing? I want aa-aa-all the names.
[lol] Well, good luck with your brain-eating project. The internet will never lack for fangirls so we'll all be here when you get back!

Richard and Clark! Don't they just NEED to play it, and like... RIGHT NOW?
Thank'ems. I needs the luck. I'll probably be at this project for another month or so, yet. O_O

Hmm, how long could Clark keep on the glasses, I wonder? If Richard's suspicious already he *might* go for those first (unless he's being really considerate). How on earth would one get Clark to agree to that in the first place?
G'luck with the project again!

You know, I hadn't even thought about the convincing Clark to play part... I guess I just assume Richard can get whatever he wants by biting his lip and looking alluring, hahaha. And I bet Richard would totally go for the glasses when Clark is expecting him to go for the boxers, and it would be SUCH delicious irony because he's even more naked without the glasses!

LOL. But Bruce *likes* being brought into every facet of his life. It appeals to his controlling side ;)

I concur. So, let's not write Clark off so easily -- he could give Richard a run for his err, clothes? I was going to write something once upon a time where Bruce drops into Daily Planet before having made the official acquaintance of anyone, but going to visit Clark wouldn't fare so well for Clark's attempt to stay under the radar. I have an inventory of excuses at the ready, but Lois is insatiably curious. In the end, I couldn't justify the exercise. XD

Ooooooooh. I like that idea. There's something so deliciously appealing about everyone being oblivious about everyone else, don't you think? If there's one thing a Wayne's not good for, it's staying clandestine.
Okay, so I've got two fics to bug you about:
Big happy family DC crossover
Bruce dropping in on Clark at work
...and I'm going to tack Jimmy/Clark onto here because I can! :D
