X-Men: Rogue Touched Someone, Scott and Logan Got Along, No One Missed Jean trascendenza April 28 2007, 03:12:39 UTC
Five Times Rogue Touched Someone

5. She thought it’d be safe through the ice. Bobby blushed because even if he couldn’t remember what he’d been thinking now, he knew it was embarrassing.

4. Pain. Blood. So much she could hardly stand, and in that moment, her body just wanted to touch him, to say, It’s okay, Logan, but instead, she saw, through his eyes, that it wasn’t. She ran.

3. John. She rubbed her hand down her thigh, repeatedly, but she couldn’t rub the feeling of him off.

2. Nightcrawler fell into her, and his cheek just barely brushed hers, but it was enough-and suddenly she understands why people believe in God.

1. Logan, after he’s killed Jean. He’s asleep, and his face goes slack as she runs her finger along his cheek.

She knows he wants to forget.

it's like my birthday, Chrismukkah, Easter, and Arbor day all rolled into one shiny, fic-y package!

3. “Cyke, you little bastard,” Logan said, hips surging up as his head slammed against the wall, splintering the paneling.

You know Wolverine's broken through every headboard those two have encountered in their path of sexual destruction. *g*

And you still have more on the way! O_O Hahaha, I guess it was very generous of me not to put a cap on the amount of requests one person could do ;)

What I love about doing this is that it's such a good way to work out characterization details wouldn't really fit in a fic, but lend themselves to this format. It's like... a writer's workshop, where people are happy with my practicing. I've decided the world is a good place. *g*

rogue's 5 times is great because she's not hating ehr powers; she's nto exactly loving them but she seems to be comfortable using it and does, in fact, use it.

Why thank you! I must say Rogue is a character whose head I have trouble getting into, so I'm really relieved that she came off well in this. :)

I must apologize for the numerous typos in that comment. My only excuse is extreme flailing. Rogue, like Jean and Lois, are really difficult to do sympathetically because canon writers suck at writing females their characteristics change with each decade according to the definition of "women." Rogue is this really weird balance of idealism and cynicism that I think you've captured very well.

No worries. You should see the amount of typos I find in my fics when I go back and proofread them sixth months later, egads o_O (You'd think it would teach me to proofread before I post, but nooooooo, that would be too logical.)

So true, so true. I never thought of it that way, but the definition of femininity has shifted so much since their inception. It's mainly movieverse Rogue that I have a hard time relating to; toonverse Rogue was one of my childhood heroes, hee.

And thank you again! I definitely think her power would age her very quickly; I know exactly what you mean about the cynicism and idealim.

Maybe I should just get over myself and try writing her more often. Especially considering I promised theswearingkind some Logan/Marie fic some months ago...eeep.

I almost never read Logan/Rogue but for your translation of rogue, I'd so be there.

Aaah! Blush overload!

I've never read Logan/Rogue. You wouldn't happen to have any good recs, would you? *desperately needs a point of reference*

Sadly, no. Like I said, I hardly ever read it. I think I've read all of 5 L/R fics just to pretend I was a bit more open-minded than I really am. *L* Gambit/Rogue is one of my bulletproof couples.

From what I understand, most of it is "Rogue growing up" and "Logan realising what a treasure he had" with a healthy mix of guilt (Logan's) and longing (Rogue's). You could see the recs on minisinoo's homepage; I can't find any L/R stories specifically but the Rogue fics and Logan fics there should give ample info.

Well, that's because Gambit/Rogue are beautiful and shiny :) Guh, I have this actor I want to cast as Gambit in a story and need to find a good adult Rogue to put alongside him.

Hrmmmm. That sounds... er. Like maybe I don't need a point of reference, after all, then.

Ooooh, nice recs page. Thanks for the link! *scribbles out whatever plans she had for Saturday*
