Perfect. I'll have some more most likely to be transcribed by then. How are you? I know I've been cloistered down here a bit.

I'm fine, and it's alright. I know you've been busy.

Luke just asked me about memories. I haven't paid enough attention to the network to be aware...is there a problem with memories at the moment?

What'd you find?

It's interesting. Your brain has nearly shut down your endorphin production and more than doubled your adrenaline production. The tissue I collected is saturated in the hormones generally found in a human brain during a fight or flight reaction. I've also found many other hormones responsible for a bevy of negative emotions present in the tissue. I've managed to come up with a formula that suppresses all of those however, I suspect that it would leave you as comatose as the cat I tested it on earlier. That is not, I assume, the desired outcome.

Memories still intact?

As intact as they have ever been.

Well that's not true. I'm sure forty or fifty years ago before I lost my mind they were a bit more intact but then again then again my sanity has always been in question so perhaps my first statement was correct.

Yours? And I assume this is a problem for someone as you're asking.

There's been an 'outbreak' of memory loss and it's not confined to the City. I'm unaffected, but for how long that may last...?

Keep me updated? If you notice that you're losing any memories let me know. I'm going to see what I can find out about this.

You don't start earning brownie points until you've broken even on the justice scale.

Then I shall have to remain pointless. I'm over five hundred years old, Chief. Do you honestly believe that I can ever break even on your 'justice' scale?

And honestly, if I could, I'm not much for working that hard.

And the fact that you're unwilling to try doesn't really help. Glad to know my first impression was right.
