I've been watching the skaing with renewed interest too. It's been nudging me to actually do something with all those teenage hours spent skating and have a proper go at ice hockey.

Ah, cool. Where can you skate in London?

there are several rinks, but some of them aren't full-sized. however, the smaller ones tend to not get too crowded - which is handy if you want to skate freely. the full-sized one I tend to go to is at Alexandra Palace - which incidentally is on a great big hill overlooking London. you can see St Pauls, Canary Wharf, the London Eye and everythiing. the "palace" is tatty - but hey they're turning it into a casino.
