I never studied enough Debussy when I was still actively pursuing my piano classes, though he was heavily referenced in my musicology and conducing classes. I *adore* his work.
I don't know if you're familiar with this specific crossover (some people go "Well, DUH, Alex!" when I tell them, while others go "What are you talking about?) - but Art of Noise did "The Seduction of Claude Debussy" with John Hurt doing the narrative. It has some - mmm - awkward - rappy bits, but I think it's a brilliant exploration of some of his work with modern instrumentation and modern musicality.
