This is almost depressing, but I like the overall tone. It's somewhat even funny to me that Sasuke would travel half-way around the world, just so he wouldn't have to "say" anything to his crush. Too bad he doesn't have the balls to say anything. > w >

Kudos for the German. I believe "Elender verdammter Dreck!" is just another way of saying "Bloody dirty hell!" i.e. just more cussing. :)

I'm glad you found some humour (sorry, if I interpreted it wrongly) in this: Sasuke is a bit of a coward because he's that proud. I thought that having him escape was somewhat IC for him, though I can't be too sure. I'm glad, however, that you liked the tone. I admit that I was/am worried it didn't convey the right amount of emotion.

And I admit that hate myself for having written a fic where Sasuke couldn't be honest with either himself or Naruto, really.

You're right, it is. There's really no other way to translate it literally - if I did, it would go “filthy damned dirt”, and that makes little sense. And “elend” doesn't really mean “filthy”. Out of curiosity: do you speak German?

If this is a part of something more bigger as you wrote above I think is good!
Because as it is--- it let you with a lot of questions!
And I really think you should answer them in a bigger fic!
Is a hard time finding good Sasuke's pov fics and yours is!
Really, I love your writing do far ^^!
I hope you will continue with your original idea and write more!!

-----------

Poor Sasuke, he is depress. Only depress people go to sleep so they won't have to deal with the problems... T^T... What is Naruto thinking!? marrying Sakura and all.... =__=U, dumb boy.

I can't promise anything longer; I'd love to write it, but my muse gets more often in the way than anything else. But I'll try and see, if I can write it, provided RL doesn't get in the way.

I left this fic open-ended, so that the reader could up with their own interpretations of what's going on. There's is backstory to this, of course, which could be written into something longer.

I don't really write Sasuke that much. I tend to focus on Naruto, so I'm glad you think this is good!

I'm glad you like my writing, and I'll see if I can flesh this out.

The fact that you think this is sad means a lot to me. Because this piece would be meaningless, if I had failed to generate any kind of emotion. So, thank you -- it really does mean a lot.

wow, nice emotions! i love the reactions on the phone!
and also, the moment I read "Karlsplz" i knew it was vienna. The description fits so perfectly, especially the U4/U1 tunnel thing is disgusting! i never go there if i can help it at all.
The atmosphere of death is really apparent in Vienna, so this fits really well,
and also, "Elender verdammter Dreck" is something I imagine someone from Germany saying, before someone in Austria, I think ive actually never heard someone saying it.
I do hope you go on and do your bigger project!

I'm glad you loved the reactions on the phone.

Karlsplatz itself is a beautiful area, but the station is terrible. It's pretty dangerous as well, so I also avoid going there, unless I absolutely have to. I agree with you, on sombre, dark days there is a lingering atmosphere of death in Vienna -- especially when you're out on these narrow streets and surrounded by grey buildings. But it really depends where you are.

I'm intrigued: Do you live in Vienna?

You're right. But I've never really heard someone use it at all.

They recently built this Starbucks underground in Karlsplz (which is, i agree with you beautiful above ground with the opera etc.), and I was just sitting in it yesterday, with a coffee of the day, and a muffin talking to a friend, and not one meter away, beyond the glass are the druggies and drunks... It was so weird.
But yeah, even though its so dangerous, its very watched. I mean, theres police everywhere, but even so, i hate it.

I actually dont live in vienna, i live in NÖ, bezirk Gänserndorf, but I go to school in the 22nd, so I go nearly every day.

Also, ive been reading your things a lot, and im wondering how you know Vienna... Im also intruiged.

You go to school in the 22nd? OMG, I like live there! So, if you've been wondering how I can know Vienna that well, it's because I'm a Viennese through and through!

I've not been to that Starbucks yet, but I doubt I'll ever go there. It's a bit depressing really to watch all these drug-addicts and drunk people.

Eigentlich kann ich ja an dieser Stelle schon Deutsch schreiben, nicht? Ich bin nur mehr als ein wenig überrascht, dass eigentlich aus meiner direkten Umgebung stammst. Hat mich total überrascht.

This has a very sinking sort of morose atmosphere from beginning to almost the end. The end is absolutely depressing ( ... )

Wow, that's an honestly thoughtful and wonderful review. I wrote this piece after reading something by Hemingway. He taught me that you can convey a lot through dialogue and seemingly mundane descriptions ( ... )
