Nootropic regimin

Apr 30, 2008 11:41

Hey there, I'm currently experimenting with nootropics and have started a regimin this week. If anyone is interested in following my progress or chatting about smart drugs or transhumanism in general, please feel free to drop by my journal, all open minds welcome :)

Well, I was about to recommend that you visit the Whitechapel thread covering just that topic, were you a fan of Warren Ellis.

Then I saw grinding and m1k3y, and figured you were already on it. ;)

Ah bizarrely enough I had heard mention of it, but when I went to vist the site was having issues. Thanks for reminding me to take another look!

I've tried Piracetam. I think it helped mostly with controlling my desire to constantly drink alcohol if nothing else. The effects are mostly intangible but I think you won't notice the lack of tiredness and brain stupor as much. You still need to eat and sleep though.

I have indeed felt less tired when sleeping less, that was pretty much the first thing that I noticed. Likewise I left alcohol alone for the first 2 weeks of the trial, and when I tried it again one glass hit me as much as 5 used to, and I severely doubt that was simply not having drunk for 2 weeks. As you suggest, I'm in no hurry to try alcohol again soon, as the effects of P are fantastic on their own!

Thanks for giving me your appreciation of your experiences.

Thanks for the suggestion re: posting on the group, i'm just a bit wary of hijacking it though, especially with being a new member etc. Maybe monthly updates would be ok and not too 'pay attention to me' post-wise.
