Alternatives to the HRC?
Like probably many people here, given recent idiocy and awfulness I've felt more compelled than usual to argue against the HRC.

Visible Vote '08 has a poll on the main page of their site asking readers which LGBT campaign issue is most important to them? Interesting that transgender rights has the second highest number of votes (after gay marriage). Trans rights are 4% ahead of the 3rd most popular answer- ENDA. I think I know how to Fix ENDA, well I have an idea. If some one has a contact with one of the Trans lobbying groups you might want to forward this to them, if you think it would work. The Senate will have to vote on ENDA. And assuming ENDA passes the Senate without filibuster, a Senator could add an amendment that restores gender identity to ENDA ( Read more... )
