Hmm. I haven't yet changed my name and I'm debating possibilities. I mostly want it to be gender-neutral - which is hard, because here in Finland, though we have gender-neutral pronouns, males must not have a woman's name and females must not have a man's name. Of course there are some names that haven't stabilized to one gender only. So I'm going for those. I also want my names to start with V and E to conserve my initials. So, with those restrictions, there are fairly few options.
I've been thinking of the name "Vile". In Finnish it's just a name, though rare, and then I'd have a nice effect on English-speaking people, heh heh.

I've called myself genderless for 8 years and that probably won't change. :)

As for bathrooms, men's sometimes have urinals (the toilets I've been in have been mostly single and pair ones and those don't usually have them) and might sometimes be a bit dirtier. Of course, when the toilets really are dirty, there's usually not much difference. Fortunately that doesn't happen often.

Out of curiosity, how do you pronounce Vile?

Hmm... There are probably numerous ways to explain it. I suppose the simplest one would be "vi-leh".

The important part is that all the letters there are short, also the vowels. So the first one, i, is how you'd pronounce it in "kit". The second, e, is like how you'd pronounce the vowel part in "head"
