For all you folks involved in radical activism, I wanted to point out some egregious nonsense recently published in the most recent Slingshot Collective newspaper. You might want to give this a read before purchasing a 2013 Slingshot Organizer or subscribing to the newspaper.

I went to the article to read the words in context and it is even worse than you described. This person has no idea what they are talking about! It almost sounds like they are saying that to label someone cis-gender is oppressive and that it is always an assumption. I'm also gathering that they don't think gay folks can be cis-gender which shows their complete ignorance of the connection between LGB and T.

That article is complete garbage.

In some ways cis resembles HPV, for both words imply something you don’t want to catch.

I am thinking the author wrote this after eating the wrong kind of mushrooms.

BTW, author, if I'm wrong, and you're right, and being cis is something you can catch... let me know where the centre of the plague outbreak is. XD imma wanna catch me some of that.
