Diabetes and Estradiol?

A question for MAAB folk with type II diabetes who are on hormone therapy, especially if you're taking estradiol: did any of you notice a large shift in your fasting glucose levels a few months after you started the hormones? If so, did it go up or down?

I actually didn't realize until recently, because I've never had a doctor who's done the homework before, but my doctor just sat me down and explained to me that being on hormone therapy raises cholesterol and blood glucose, and then explained that basically I am now pre-diabetic, which is new for me and pretty scary. So yes, fasting glucose levels will go up, to some degree. It's a basic side-effect of the medication.
