Androcur? Again?

For some reason, my dermatologist has chosen to put me back on anti-androgens, three and a half years to the day after I had my SRS, which is something that should have effectively negated any production of Demon T within my body, the production centres being sent for destruction on that day ( Read more... )

Pretty sure you shouldn't take Androcur post-op - it may well take your T levels dangerously low.

it shouldn't do much of anything... androcur works by fooling the pitutary gland into thinking there is too much hormones in the body and it signals the testes to shut off... no testes, no off.

Androcur does however also bond to the androgyn receptors in the body, so the testosterone cant. It is a double wammy T-blocker... stops production, and what is produced isn't able to bond anywhere.

So while a post-op androcur regiment will lessen the effects of T, it will not do a huge hit to the actual amount of T in the blood.
