Therapist & Hysto questions

Hi,

I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a therapist in either Fredericksburg, VA or near Alexandria, VA who has experience with genderqueer/transgender patients and is queer-positive/affirmative. I’m currently seeing someone who is good for dealing with some other things I have going on (more ‘mainstream’ stuff like family problems) but I feel ( Read more... )

I don't know where in VA you're located, but if you don't mind a drive to Baltimore, Chase Brexton was recommended to me. (Lived in VA for a long time, now live in MD.)

You can also try Dr. Eleanor Criswell, she is now working out of old Towne Alexandria. I used her for my own transition. She has the advantage that she is a Clinical Psychologist so it meets one of the SoC criteria. Martha Harris gave me my second letter and she is very good. She is located in Alexandria just south of the Beltway, a bit off Rt 1. She works out of her home. I only saw her a couple of times but I liked her.
