Fulltime...

I'm nearing the 7 month mark of EP&AT1., getting my face zapped with a lovely lazer and looking forward to the time when I will be ready to show the world who I am - full time2.
So I'd like to ask a two part question.:

At what point did you start being you fulltime? How did you know that you were ready?

transition process, identity-how did you know

I went FT 9 months before starting HRT.

How did I know?

Only that it felt like the right next step.

I went full time on 10/29/07. Before that, since June, I'd been going to work androgynously but using my old name. The strain of that was just too much. I hadn't planned on going full time until the New Year, but I couldn't wait that long. :)

I went full-time when I got out of the hospital for the catatonic depressive state I'd been in. Would be November something, 1992. I knew I was ready because I'd been nearly dead when they brought me in, from simple self-neglect, out of my own self-hatred.

In retrospect, it really was a pretty clear sign. I don't recommend it as a decision point, though, because the risks of, y'know, dying, seem a little high.

Self medicated (with a very low dose) for 2 years, got a Dr and got my levels right and went full time june 8th 2007. started laser 7/13/07. In retrospect, I should have done that sooner haha. Just had my 4th laser and there is very little left. I'd been living all my life except work as female since about march of this year.

It was a long time ago- 1974- when I was eighteen years old- but it's a story which might make you smile. I was out with a bunch of friends and I needed the loo (I think you say 'bathroom' in the US?) Went to the gents (that was the very last time I ever did that) and as I returned to my seat an old gentleman said: 'Excuse me, love, but do you know that that was the gents you just went into?' THEN I knew it was time

Seriously though- you'll be ready when you feel you are ready.
