Charlie Cox, a boyishly handsome British actor who's background is more Brideshead Revisted than Hell's Kitchen, is our new Matt Murdock in Marvel's upcoming Daredevil series for Netflix

Read the news this morning as well. I don't think I've seen Charlie Cox before, and looks-wise he's definitely not what I would have thought of for Matt Murdock. But hey, who knows what the producers saw in him, I'll just wait and see.
I don't even remeber the Elektra movie's storyline, only that I've been kind of confused by it all *g*
A visit by Widow would be awesome! They mentioned her so many times on AoS, she really should put in an appearance on at least one of the tv shows.

I think I see why they chose him; Cox has an appealing quality, he's proven himself on television already (in Boardwalk Empire) and Marvel likes to pick em up cheap and get a fair few years and projects out of their actors. He's only 31 (some of the fan suggestions included guys like Michael C. Hall, who is 43 -- a bit long in the tooth to be playing an athletic young lawyer who's a world-class martial artist by night).

Steve DeKnight is the showrunner for the Daredevil Netflix series, and I'm curious to see if he imports any of his Spartacus cast. I could see Katrina Law as Elektra!
