Fear... and my experiences with it tonight.

Jan 28, 2009 01:26

I don't know if I have the energy to write this... but it's kind of important so I'm going to start it, even if I can't finish.

cut for length )

life, feminism, women, transcendence, trust, social conditioning, thankful, vulnerability, fear, uncertainty, amazing conversations

I do know people who would be scared by that experience though. I take my hat off to you and the way you dealt with it. Not that I'm wearing a hat.

Well done, hun! What complete fucktards.
And yes, THEY are the fucked up ones. I'm glad K and Cam was home, it would have been a very different experience if they weren't.
With your house being right where it is, there seems to be a high number of weirdoes around your house. I wonder if it was the same guy who pissed on your wall that time.

Who knows? Anything is possible. They weren't home right until the end.

But I was more annoyed than worried, I was wary though. But I figured, big dog, lots of swords, can call police, and I knew that K and Cam were almost home, so it all helped.

*love*

I really don't get people sometimes.

*hugs* you certainly handled it better than I would have.

I hoped in part by writing about it that it would give other people information/experience/options too.

I certainly didn't feel alone - I could feel every woman/girl who'd ever felt this frustration. It helped.

Actually, I think you've touched on the reason why I don't like it when Drhoz insists on leaving windows open when we go to sleep. I know we've got flyscreens and all, but the idea that it would be easy for someone to get in makes me nervous.

I wasn't particularly coherent last night, sorry -- but you did handle that most excellently, and I'm proud and admire you for you (I was originally intending to type "admire you for it" but my fingers decided otherwise, and I like that better, cos it's true) *loves*.
