The nature of thinking...

Perhaps we could talk about it some more? Perhaps musing gently will do us both some good? :)

Why is sydney so far away?

A good start is to stop calling it as - uncertainty. And approach it from a being in the moment thought. The thought is not constrained by time. You can for instance muse or ponder upon a point for as long as you want.

Devilles is nice and all and they will not actually care if some of the party is under 25. Odds on though they will balls up your booking. So if you want it to go smoothly then consider going somewhere else.

Thanks for that - I will likely call them, but yeah, I don't want to have my birthday be a 'thing i have to coordinate/run/fix' so maybe somewhere else will work.

Also, reference to uncertainty is that it's generally viewed as a very negative thing, that we must always be certain of what and where we're going. I'm trying to gently encourage more comfort with the not having decided state.

Little Creatures is always great. I've had birthday dinners there before and it's relaxed and totally delicious!

Cool - thanks for the suggestion, will keep it in mind, though it's not my favourite place in the world :)

My favourite place to eat is The Moon Cafe. I've been going there since 1997 and even though it's not quite as good as it was, it's still great. Better for small groups though, rather than large.

I can't deal with the Moon on the basis of Swancon and hotel proximity in recent years. I enjoy it around Swancon and avoid it outside of that timeframe if I can :) I'm sorry - I'm such a picky wench :)

Currently closed and yet to re-open is my understanding :( I MISS IT SO!! There is a new restaurant where it used to be :(

I hope it reopens elsewhere!! I heard rumours that it would...

I found Cantina on Beaufort Street in Mount Lawley really great. They do a seasonal menu, they don't take bookings but if you call them and say "there are ten of us" then they might let you book. :o) It is a little expensive, but that's because it's organic, I think. They were pretty good about us lingering, they have a good wine list.

I really like Zapata's in Fremantle (which is Mexican). They do a great variety of portion sizes and have some excellent cocktails.

I quite like Dusit Thai in Northbridge.

I love Dusit Thai!!! But think something more Italian or fusion is my palate atm (but you know - this changes day to day so who knows by that point??)

Zapatas I've been to and enjoyed :) Will consider - cocktails is a selling point! :)

Cantina is interesting - I'd love to go there to try it out, but maybe not for a group booking first off :)
