Veronica Rising PHASE TWO AND THREE Plot Post
Hey guys! Great plot so far. 8D Phase one is in full swing over here and there's still plenty of injury action to be had if there are any latecomers who want to get in on it! I will continue tagging Phase One with Tyrant!Steve as long as people keep posting to it, so it's by no means over even as we move things along. Feel free to throw yourselves in there or continue threading.
Tomorrow night (November 3rd GMT-7) I'll put up phase two and phase three of the plot, which will be more complex than the free-for-all in phase one. This post is your information post, the place to express interest, plan things and ask me questions. Here's what you need to know about the next parts:
PHASE TWO: The Queen’s Legacy
AKA Prepare for the Fight Scene
It’s been a pretty bad day in the city. A mutated teenager has torn through the place and knocked the everliving crap out of half the people who tried to fight him, injuries are plentiful and the collateral damage is going to take a while to fix. Fortunately, Tyrant!Steve is gone from the City and the danger has passed. Right?
... right?
WRONG!
Don’t forget that the real danger here isn’t the mutant kid-- it’s the Veronica virus living in his blood that mutated him. The Veronica virus which spread to the City streets during the previous fight. The Veronica virus which has infected something else, something which is about to go tearing out of its hiding place in an attempt to eat you all. Do you get to know what you’re fighting? NO. :D But it’s not zombies. And there’s a good chance “Veronica” is in the name.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that this fight can be won without murdering an innocent crew member, and that’s just what your characters will have to do in order to put a stop to this madness and make that bitch Alexia roll in her grave. The threat must be dealt with before the virus spreads any further.
Phase Two is a no-holds-barred battle against the accidental result of the fireblood bath in Phase One. If your characters were not hurt too badly in Phase One (or if they can heal themselves), they are free to join in the brawl. Otherwise, you are free to insert another of your characters into the fight. If you did not participate in Phase One, you may also feel free to add a character to Phase Two. Go on. Do it. You know you want to.
Remember, the limit is still ONE CHARACTER PER PERSON for the time being. There is more than one creature to fight, so several of them will pop up for several different groups of characters to take down. Use this post to organize yourselves for the battle. If there’s a big response I’ll add more creatures. You can feel free to do some minor godmoding as far as the creatures go, once you figure out what, exactly, they are.
Same rules apply for the rest of the plot. No dying and no getting yourselves infected. Other than that, Phase Two is a free-for-all. Leave no Veronica monsters alive! Er, except Steve, but he's busy over in Phase Three at all, so no worries.
At the same time, a medbay thread will be open for the wounded characters from Phase One. If you are a medic, can serve as one, or even have some bandaids in your pocket, feel absolutely free to make yourselves available for this, as Luis is officially out of commission.
PHASE THREE: The Fallen Knight
AKA Save the Emo, Save the Crew
This phase is restricted to the people who are already aware they are on Team Save the Emo. If you are not sure whether or not you are on this team, you are probably not on this team. Everyone else should be kept busy outside.
For those of you who ARE involved, expect a chat or something to plan things out.
Will Steve be brought under control, or die miserably in a Linear Launcher blast of pain and horror? You’re about to find out!
ETA: PHASE TWO IS UP HERE
The Hotel subthread is for people gathered at the safe haven of the Outsiders' hotel, whether they be injured or visiting the injured before they can be moved to med bay. Feel free to throw in your medics or other characters just mingling around. If you can think of any other subthreads before the action starts, feel free to make them.
