Okay, guys. Here's a plot, and it's probably going to trigger some massive ship-wide arguments. I'd like to warn you about that first ( Read more... )

Does the clone have higher brain functions/the capability for it?

Right now? No. It's been hormonally and chemically aged slightly, and aged naturally some, so the brain is extremely undeveloped due to underuse. And Shadowrun's cloning technology is... Rather crappy compared to other canons, so while it has the capability, it might not ever reach that level.

Even completely naturally-aged clones are intellectually stunted when pulled from tanks, and Shadowrun's level of technology can't seem to make them as functional as normal people.

Mmmm.. good ol' "what defines a person", sanctity of life debates. Kind of a touchy subject maybe but I guess that makes it interesting? :|a

I know me n'Ratch are still pretty new here but if he caught wind of a situation like this, he'd have some very strong words about it.

That's why I'm putting this up. Partially as 'What do you guys think', partially as a warning. I don't want this to become a massive IC/OOC ragefest like the last ship-wide conflict did, and I'd like to warn people that there will be arguments and there might be strong words and IC feelings hurt.

S'long as it doesn't poke into OOC.

*nods* Figured it was kind of preemptive feeler. I agree it's a good idea to hash the OOC feelings out ahead of time. It's a shame that a previous plot imploded on itself because of it, but.. live and learn?

Personally, I'd be fine with the subject.. I'd like to think my IC/OOC line is healthy and robust. Ratchet, on the other hand, would be absolutely disgusted that anyone would 'farm' another living creature for parts. Righteous Medic Raeg.

Well, the last time wasn't really a plot. It was just a lot of ugliness and pent up feelings. I won't get into it here, because I don't wanna stir any shit.

Mei-Xing would like him to know that she paid for it fair and square. B|

I am fine with this plot.

Nanoha, whose waifu and daughter are both clones, is not.

Mei-Xing is going to get the shit knocked out of her at least once. I fully expect it.
