I definately think we need to do something. I know a lot of people who rely on the auto industry for jobs even if they don't directly work for one of the Big 3. Michigan is centered around manufacturing and I'm almost willing to say 70% of it is driven by the auto industry. If the auto industry went under so would all these other jobs. The individual in the article had mentioned that if financial institutions went under so would the economy. If the auto industry went under, the economy would sure as hell go under as well. Michigan's unemployment, already the highest in the nation, would climb to probably well over 20%. Guaranteed, and then it would spread throughout the nation. When big companies go under, the whole country suffers, not just those who work for them or rely on them
