That sounds like a pain, but I guess I can put up with it.

Nice to meet you, Dr. Henderson, I'm Luca.

I assure you that we try to make it as painless a process involving needles can be.

It's great to meet you too, Miss Luca.

Ugh, needles? And here I was trying to tell myself it wouldn't be awful.

I've got a lot of great people in my department. There's nothing to fear.

Good time of the day, dr. Henderson. I'm Linsha Majere, wife of Councillor Bight, and I've been recently podpopped. I'm mostly fighter, but I have small healing abilities (mostly healing wounds, removing pain). I also have experience of using these on the war field. If my modest abilities can help, I would be glad to be of service.

(OOC: it would be interesting to play out the meds evaluation, I thing it could be amusing.)

I'd be glad to have you on board! Come by Medbay anytime if you don't mind giving me a bit of a demonstration.

((OOC: I'd be happy to thread something. I'll put up a post for people to generally harass Medbay people later this weekend.))

(OOC: so technically I should just wait for this weekend post and comment there, right?)

((OOC: They can chat all they like now, but yeah, that'll work. It's easier to keep track of one post than a half dozen |D))

So, what. I go down there, you figure I'm dangerous, you jettison me in to space? Is this how it works?

No, not at all. If you're not cut out for actual battle, then there's lots of support roles to be filled. It's purely on a case-by-case basis.

But I assure you no one will be going out of any airlocks.

Not combat, I can handle that.

I guess you could consider me parasitic. I need to use humans as hosts for biological needs. So, you'll have to understand me being a little on edge about a forced assessment.

We have actually come across that exact situation in the past. You have nothing to worry about. Stacy is capable of providing sustenance to everyone without bringing anyone to harm. Everyone's slop is custom-engineered to their specific needs.

But on a personal note, I'm a vampire, myself. Overall, the crew is understanding of these kinds of situations.

How do you establish a racial or cultural baseline for physical and psychological evaluations?

[ ooc: I'm hoping to have him join Medical as a healer or field medic. I haven't decided if I want to handwave or play it out, but if I do the latter should I wait until the log this weekend? ]

We have a lot of people on staff with expertise in nonhuman physiology. Physicals are conducted on a highly individual basis for this reason. Humans will have an easier time of theirs simply due to familiarity. Others might have to endure more questions and a few extra tests.

What if there's only one individual of a particular species awake on the ship?

I'm not worried about my own case, but I have some training as a healer and would like to be a field medic. If you don't already have enough of those, that is.

I do not feel comfortable exposing the secrets of Astartes physiology so easily.

Have you previously assessed Master Cargn?

You have my word that any and all information gained during the physicals will be held in strictest confidence. Or, if you like, your data can be restricted to only be accessed by myself. Our interest is only in having full information should the unfortunate occasion arise that we need to treat you.

I will need an oath before I can do so, sworn cold and clear before me, but if this is done I will gladly accede to your request.
