I do not believe that is a fair course of action to take, even if we are currently in danger. We do not wish to be attacked, we do not want to perish. Is it really fair to wish what we don't want for ourselves onto others in such a way?

You say they want to kill us ... don't you want to learn why?

We are on a very difficult path. And currently unable to find the light at the end of the darkness that will lead us to the answers we seek. I understand the need to retaliate against the Ohm in order to ensure that we survive. But, there are so many things we still don't know. Even Stacy ... our own home is an enigma to us on many levels. And we've only just met some representatives from the GIA. There are still many things to learn. I would like us all to do our best to try and learn them without resorting to further fighting and bloodshed, if it's possible.

If it is possible, avoiding a massacre at all costs is important. The Ohm the people of this ship have seen ... aside from how they look and how they attack, is there anything beyond that that we know? We do not know if it is their entire race attacking us, or simply a group with their own agenda. They may even be controlled by an outside force. I apologize if I sound as though I'm trying to grasp for straws, but I assure you that both examples are from experiences that I've encountered myself.

But I have trust in those that exist outside of the realm of our universes. Those with the power to rebuild and destroy planets and star systems. They would not allow beings to run rampant if they thought it would lead to the destruction of all. They have the power-- and I believe working together, we have the power to stop and subdue the Ohm if there are absolutely no means of peace. But I believe there is a way

One would have to wonder about the motivation to a statement such as "life means nothing." Especially when the ones teaching such a moral are alive themselves. That is why I want to search

Just in response to another couple of points you've made here. One, it's my understanding that extradimensional gods are horrible, amoral beings who, at best, see us as toys.

And you're also assuming they have sentience, or life-cycles that are even remotely similar ours that would produce something we'd recognize as a child.

The Tribe of Gold who exist outside of the realm of the universes are beings I know to not be as you've described. Their wish is for different races to grow and prosper, venture to space, connect the universe they live in with their travels, and evolve far enough to be bestowed their powers - to aid and guide the universes that exist. I am sorry that your experiences with beings that may be similar to them were negative ones.

I do not wish to overassume things, but I also do not wish to underassume things, either. We still know very little about the Ohm. It if my belief that we should equally weight possibilities on both ends of what they are. Their life cycles may differ greatly from our own if they exist ... that we would not be able to recognize this at the current time is part of why I want to learn more about them. Because they may very well exist on a level we've never encountered in our lifetimes before.

The Ohm have demonstrated well coordinated tactics and impressive biotechnology. They have undertaken systematic efforts to cleanse entire universes including, to the Daligig, our own. While the Daligig are not to be inherently trusted I have seen little evidence that the Ohm are not a threat. I will not discount the possibility but it is highly likely that they cannot be reasoned with.

If you were to negotiate with the Ohm, and your efforts failed- to the cost of a great many of the crew- how would you act?

The Ohm are of course a threat to us based on their actions ... but to find the reason behind those actions is something I would like to look into. It is certainly not all I wish to do if I were to be elected, but it would be one of my goals. We are still not sure what the Ohm are. How much intelligence they possess. If they are in control of their actions at all. I have met many beings throughout the universe who possess varying spiritual and mental balance between each other. As a result of one race in particular, they were devoid of any detectable emotions due to disposing of them onto their leader via this link they shared, as they deemed many emotions to be a burden upon them and their goals. There are many possibilities as to how and why the Ohm are acting the way they are. I would like to look into those because I believe if we begin to find answers, we will also find ways to better understand them. Regardless of if we reach good results or bad, we will be better prepared for dealing with them one way or another
