Sakura adjusts her gloves, letting them slap back into place over the ends of the sleeved scrubs she was wearing. She's not actually sure what to call this half dress half smock she has on, yet with her burns still healing and no particular love of contamination from unexpected Ohm juices, she's not taking unnecessary chances ( ... )

"Pfft. Like I know how to work an alien camcorder." He pushes a small gurney full of surgical equipment over to her side and stands next to her, arms crossed, surveying their task. "Where do you think we should start?"

The Shrike lies in front of them, still with a little bit of freezer burn on its tough dark skin. It smells a little bit like rotting fish mixed with New-Car-Smell. Howard walks over to the creature's face and tilts his head all the way over, like he's trying to pop a crick in his neck, but it's only because he's never been good at hiding his visual cues of curiosity.

It's nice to have the Med Bay back. It's still a little messy and god only knows when they're going to get that one x-ray machine replaced, but this was the first place Howard returned to after the robots were defeated. He came back and he started cleaning. Honestly, he was a little disheartened that more of the medical staff didn't come join him first thing.

"Beats my plan," she says, almost chipper, taking a moment to fiddle with buttons until some red light comes on. She figures that's close enough to working. If nothing else, she's taping her omnicomm up and having that record this whole thing ( ... )

Howard catches about half of what Sakura says until she gets to the brain part. Something about bilateral symmetry, and he's sure if he saw the words written out he'd understand what she's saying, but she speaks a little too quickly for him. "Gotcha. Getting into its brain. I want to run some tests on some skin samples if we get a chance, try and figure out what kind of atmosphere it holds up against ( ... )
