Sprawled out on her front, right in the middle of the spacewalk, is one Vala Mal Doran. She's booked out a mini-player video thingy from the Media Library and is watching re-runs of 'Dallas' of all things, idly kicking her legs around in the air behind her. Maybe the recent shore leave gave her the taste for cowboy hats as she's still sporting the

Vala shifted round a bit, angling herself so that her left side faced him. "Daniel!" she said chirpily but sideways on with a smile that was all teeth. "I was just thinking about you, and how busy you must be."

And if that just now wasn't a barely concealed 'get lost', he'd turn in one of his PhDs.
"I needed some air." Mostly the truth. Not that he missed her hovering or anything, but after the shore leave, things had ended on a weird note. She'd said a lot of things he didn't think she would have under any other circumstances, wildly personal, vulnerable things. He leaned over, peering over her shoulder from where he stood at what was in her hands. "What are you up to?"

"You can probably get that fixed in Medical, you know. Unless it's a statement or something."

As for the Medical department, she thinks not. She had a bad experience with 'doctors' right before she arrived on Stacy. "I'll pass thank you, it's only a bruise."
Reply
"Not a fan of Medical? And after all that work we did trying to steal that medical technology. Well, I guess they do tend to poke and prod."
Reply
"What kind of medical technology?" Not that she needed it for a bruise nor was she willing to let anyone prod or poke with her with anything, least of all people she didn't know. But she was curious none-the-less.

The heavy tread of the Space Marine is heard in the spacewalk, preceded only by his booming vox-scrubbed voice.

She couldn't help but roll her eyes regardless of his intimidating presence, what kind of question was that?

"Not that it's any of your concern, but I have my own methods of healing." She just needed to get her hands on the device she'd left in Daniel's lab without Daniel actually being there to see. "And if I'm so tiresome, I'm surprised you're in the slightest bit concerned."

"Whoa, what happened? Are you okay?"

"It's nothing to worry about Atom." she smiled not really wanting to get into it with him. "It's already healing."

It looked like she was watching some kind of old-time TV show, but Atom didn't recognize the source.

The view was reality, not the inside of a ship that she'd rather not be on. Any one of those stars could be teeming with life --normal life. She might not be content to simply star watch, hence the miniplayer. But they were still there, and that was comforting.

Her expression shifted to something apologetic, though, when she nearly stepped on Vala. "Oh, I'm sorry!" She backed up a few steps quickly. "I didn't see you there!"
Reply
"Well I can see how I was hard to miss." The reply could have been so easily interpreted as caustic until she the quirk of a wry smile appeared. "Quite the spectacle isn't it?" Vala looked out to the stunning vista of stars.

Fortunately, though, she softened for a second, before she smiled quite happily, nodding at the view. "It really is amazing!" she agreed breathlessly. "I mean, I've had the luck to see the occasional crazy thing, but I'm not sure anything quite measures up to this, you know? It's just absolutely spectacular, and so beautiful."

"Although I don't see what the Ohm would have to gain from that." Vala remained skeptical but the more she delved into the history, the more it seemed likely. "You're not a seasoned space traveller then?"
