The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. They are also told they must read

Looking gloomy and miserable Kriem moved through the crowd like a ghost. At least here she didn't stand out, at least among this mishmash of cast aways, orphans and endangered species she was just another face in the crowd.
Jake never made her feel that way, he made her feel different...but in a good way.
For the first time since she arrived she reached up and ran her fingers through her hair. She knew it was gone when she died, but Stacy must have restored it.
A small comfort. Like having a pillow while sitting on a bed of nails.
With a car alarm going off near you.
In the rain.

She didn't look all right, but it was more of an offer to help than anything else.

"Of coarse not."
Because saying it like that was so much more polite.

"It is a lot to take in. But as someone may have explained to you already, your world may not be lost forever. If you're concerned about anyone you know, I've been here for a little while, so I might be able to tell you if they're here or not."

At least the 'others' thing made sense now. Maybe they could help her figure it all out. The world couldn't really be gone, right? She was worried about her friends, and she was scared by the thought. But maybe people could clear things up for her, further. She was just having trouble getting over the 'destroyed worlds' part still. Even if there was a way to get them back.

And it didn't help that she was clearly bummed out. Jinx didn't need all her studies in body language to tell her that.

"Janet?!" Hank whirled around to see Janet looking for him. He smiled and made his way over to her to give her a hug, lifting her off her feet and planting a kiss on her lips.
"You're here! I can't believe it!"

She touched the ember stone around her neck for comfort, wishing that she had a better understanding of what had brought her here. It had to be magic of some sort, but what kind of magic could have grabbed her from her life without leaving her with some kind of memory?

Still shaking his head and pacing in an effort to clear his mind, he found himself almost bumping into one of the other crew members. She was clad more heavily, in armor---where had she gotten that? Maybe she'd been here longer and would know more about this war.
"You've fought in this war already?" he asked.

"I've fought in a war before, but not this one, my lord," she answered finally, deciding to use her best court manners. She wasn't the biggest fan of formality, but she'd grown up at court and her training had required her to learn proper court etiquette. This seemed the wrong time to risk offending anyone. "What about you, sir? May I ask what you know of this place? And how might I find my way back to Tortall?"
Reply
"I'm no lord, not a sir either," Cedric waved his hand. "Just Cedric. But the little muggle devices have told us a little. We're living here during the war, it'll give us what we need, and...if Tortall's a place on your world, you can't go back to it. It's gone."
He bowed his head in apology.

Maybe this was hell, after all.
He took to stalking the Observation Deck, trying his best to look intimidating despite his general discomfort, searching the crowd for anyone he might know--even if he was dead and they were...probably not. Who even knew anymore? Certainly not him.
The best thing to do, he decided, was to find someone with answers. "I need to speak with someone in charge."
So, you know, he could pinpoint their weaknesses and figure out the best way to depose them.

This was not one of those days. Instead, she finds herself with a strange man demanding to speak with those in charge. If she crossed her eyes he could almost be Psaro.
"We have Councilmen who can answer any question you may need answered," she explained, standing close to him, her sword behind her back.
Reply
"Names, please. Would you direct me to them?"
Reply
"Kang is one of the Council Members. He helped me with questions when I was first appeared here as well. There is also captain of the ship, Leon." but there were too many people for her to point effectively at him. "...usually he will address the new arrivals, and will also answer questions."
DID YOU WANT MORE.
