Sam was, indeed, pretty relaxed. Way more so than Jared would expect him to be, being Chief Medical Officer on a living spaceship made out of meat. It was a good thing, at least; it's not like he wanted Sam to be uptight or anything.
When he activated the EMH, Jared sat up straight, almost spilling his glass. "Woah. Are you serious?"
"There's no emergency. I'm just giving a special guest the full guided tour. And I thought it would be good to introduce him to a particularly indispensable member of my team." He set his glass down and got up. "Jared, meet the Emergency Medical Hologram.... I think you need a name. But anyway, meet my brother, Jared."
"Lovely." The EMH didn't look amused as Sam's 'attempt' to pat him on the shoulder went right through. He knew better and they both knew it.
"Warm and welcoming as always. That is all." And with another look, the hologram disappeared. "He hates answering to a kid." But Sam had a big smirk on his face.
He shook his head. "No, not at the moment. I've heard Picard used to be Captain, but now it's a guy named Leon Kennedy. He kind of strikes me as like, military special ops or something. He's kind of intimidating but he's fair." He tossed back the last of his blood. "Come on, I want to show you something else that's cool."

"Yeah, I'll bet. ...is it just him, or are, say... Janeway and Picard here, too?"
