Alessa (WoW OC) one_day_visit September 20 2011, 19:08:57 UTC
There was a middle-aged woman on the Obs Deck, as bewildered as the rest of the new arrivals, though she tried to keep that from showing on her face. Transmigration what? Obs Deck? Where was she? Was she still on Azeroth?

Another day, another Pod-

Wait.

Karis' eyes narrowed as she listened to the ship babble on and finally fall silent. So what was the point of this? Was Sylvanas going to show up, say hello and then vanish? Or maybe Roteye? Or someone else? Karis huffed and swung her head around to take in the room. A whole bunch of newbies who they were going to have to explain things to. And then they'd be going right back in the fucking pods. What a waste of ti-

She froze up for a moment as she caught a glance of a familiar looking face in the crowd. That was impossible. She was gone, dead, vanished in the confusion and misery that had engulfed Lordaeron all those years ago. Why was she here? Why, of all people, had Stacy chosen her?

Karis sidled to one side, still staring openly. It was hard enough for her to wrap her mind around this - she had never imagined seeing her mother again in her life.

What was she supposed to do?

Alessa felt a prickle at the back of her neck, the kind of feeling she always got when she was being watched. She cast back and forth through the faces in the crowd, trying to find the source of that surveillance... when her eyes fell on a member of the Forsaken. Standing there, amongst the rest of the humans and other creatures she didn't recognize. Staring at her.

Her eyes widened, but she did not cry out. Something was wrong here. Something beyond one of the undead strolling about among the living.

Karis flinched and glanced away. She couldn't just stand here. And she couldn't run away either - her pride wouldn't let her. She clenched her fists, adjusted a strap or two on her armor (just to dely a few more seconds) and then started walking across the room.

Part of her wanted to run, screaming. The other part wanted to cry.

Madoka was confused and a little frightened, though she tried her best not to show it. Hadn't she and Sayaka just followed Mami into that witch's barrier? Was this the inside of it? But that voice -- Stacy -- had sounded so tender and caring...

After listening to Stacy's explanation -- that she, and the others, had been awoken because they were important to somebody else -- she started to walk around, looking about to see if she could find someone she knew.

Mami and Homura had been in the depths of the pod cavern when the announcement sounded; they'd marked their place with a bright, yellow ribbon and left to check out the Observation Deck. Homura had hesitated a moment to get a drink of water-- she was thirsty-- and Mami had gone on ahead of her. The water was not the only reason for her hesitation. It was to begin to brace herself ( ... )

When she feels a touch on her shoulder, Madoka turns. Oh! It's...

It's Homura, and she's... she's crying. That's more emotion that Madoka has seen from her since they met. It's quite the surprise.

"Homura-chan...? Are you okay? What's wrong?" She reaches up to take the other girl's hand. It feels like the right thing to do, even if Homura does kind of scare her. She's clearly upset, for some reason.

Homura instantly regrets letting her walls down for the brief moment it took her to cry. Of course. ... Of course. Madoka has no idea about any of that. She doesn't even know what time Madoka is from. It was foolish to forget all of that, even for an instant.

Homura does not smile and she does not frown. She wipes at her eyes and resists the need to hug her and make sure all of her is solid. Real. Not some sort of apparition conjured up by her sleepless state. Madoka's hand against hers is fragile and warm.

It hurts. It hurts so badly.

So because of that, Homura draws her hand away. She coolly looks Madoka over, and tries to pretend she looks better than she does. She tries to pretend all of her exhaustion away, and she tries to go on as though she were not crying. With her voice tightly controlled but solid, Homura nods.

"Yeah. I'm fine."

Oooo-kay, this was officially weird. Maybe not as weird as having to fight a berserk machine that was a borderline Eldritch horror to get your girlfriend back, but it's getting there.

Apparently, he was important to someone on this 'Stacy', though. That could be any number of people, really.

Allenby hated Stacy, and that wasn't going to change.

But she went down to those damn pod caverns every single day, yelling out six names--Domon Kasshu, Rain Mikamura, Sai Saici, Chibodee Crockett, Argo Gulskii. She yelled at Stacy in between the names, telling her to get her friends out of the damn pods already, fix her stupid systems, quit reading people's minds and pop the people who oughta be out here already--

--so when that announcement came over the comms, Allenby was running all the way.

Even then, she was wary. What if none of them were there? What if everyone else got a friend and she didn't? And then she spotted him.

"Domon! Domon, Domon, DOMON KASSHU!"

HOPEFULLY HE WAS READY FOR A HUG BECAUSE THAT WAS WHAT WAS COMING HIS WAY. AT ABOUT THIRTY MPH.

Suddenly, Domon found himself under attack! Attack by a blue-headed girl in the form of a high-speed hug - the best kind of attack, really. Domon stumbles backward from the impact, managing to stay on his feet somehow.

"Whoa, whoa, hey there!" He might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but Domon can at least tell that's the reaction of someone who missed him. He returns the hug and pats Allenby on the head. Seeing her that happy to see him was rather sobering given what Stacy had said about his duration here...

He might not be here for very long, but right now that was okay. Allenby's face was one enormous smile as Domon hugged her back. She unlatched herself after a moment and silently ordered her eyes to dry up right now, dammit, this was no time to start blubbering.

"I knew it! I knew you were in those dumb pods, waiting for Stacy to fix your avia or whatever the hell she does. Domon..." Ahhh, dumb tears. Well, whatever. She just blotted at them with the heel of her glove, still smiling in spite of it. "Heh, whoops. Hey, so... feelin' okay? Did uh, did Stacy tell you what we're all doin' here?"

To say that Ellistree wasn't surprised would be an understatement.

When it wasn't the faction wars, it was one of the races gone crazy, or a horde of undead, or the Quiraji attempting another world take over, or the Old Gods, or Arthas, or the Legion, or a rogue dragon, or the Titan's themselves one way or another. To say that Azeroth ever caught a break would be a joke.

It was by that, that she took the whole situation with a spoon full of sugar and just relaxed. What would have been the point in panicking after all?

So right now, the deck had a rather large, albino saber prowling about, her eyes looking this way and that as she took in her new surroundings.

Nokosi made his way to the Obs deck in a decidedly chipper mood, if to do nothing but indulge in one of his favorite pastimes. Considering there would only be visitors here for a measly day, it meant the conversations going on would be more interesting than usual. He expected more than a few sobbing reunions and strange, interesting conversations but so far his patience was rewarded with nothing.

How uneventful.

The array of new, unusual scents were a bonus, though. Even if one seemed so familiar that it was distracting. Something told him to stay seated so he would avoid the strange stares that usually accompanied sniffing around people he didn't know. He, of course, ignored that little voice.

Maybe if Nokosi would have stayed seated, the pounce would have been much less dramatic. But considering Ellistree had little in the department of care as far as how people viewed her, it wouldn't have really mattered.

No, instead, the large cat slowly seeped into the shadows, disappearing from all sight as if magic. Her eyes locked onto her prey as she prowled closer and closer, getting into striking distance. A wide toothy grin spread from end to end of the saber's maw right before all her powerful muscles tensed in preparation for the assault.

Three, two, one... With a powerful roar, Ellistree pounced her long time friend, pinning him to the ground with her powerful feline body. If the familiar pounce wouldn't have been enough, the immediate lapping of his face by her rough tongue would have given her away for sure. Specially considering the tusks attached to her sharp maw.

He couldn't quite pinpoint that specific scent, but he'd scurry around the room to find it if it took him all day. Part of him wished Fontaine healed a bit quicker from his wounds in that last battle; with so many people, the spoiled wolf was the better tracker in this situation. Still, Nokosi remained undeterred.

As he seemed to get closer, a part of him wished he had a flare on hand, regardless of how out of place it would look at the moment. It didn't matter, though; even if the elf had caught the druid at the last moment, he wouldn't be fast enough to avoid her ambush.

The force of the large cat leaping against his back made him tumble forward and roll against the cold floor until he came to a stop. He turned his head to the side, eyebrows furrowed as long, wet streaks were left on his cheek. His body reacted to her actions before his mind even caught up and he slung his arms around the sabercat's neck.

"HI!!"

Iolaous wandered onto the Obs Deck, looking lost in a sea of unfamiliar faces. There were a number of humans, but also some from species he didn't recognize. None, however, were from the Argonaut.

What had happened? The Silver Tribe had left; Age was gone. And now... where was he? Where was the Princess?

As per usual, the number of arrivals and crewmembers on the Obs Deck prompted Dhianeila's presence to be in the form of her projection. This was an odd thing Stacy did, but Dhianeila understood her reasoning behind it. Curious and excited to see the smiles and reuniting that would be taking place, she moved about.

--until she spotted one familiar face among the crowd. So Stacy had decided to bring some joy to her and Age, as well. She smiled warmly. "Iolaous!"

"D...Dhianeila-sama!" Disoriented as he was, Iolaous managed to kneel respectfully to her mental projection. Her presence here was reassuring; she had always been the guiding light of the Argonaut and its crew.

"I'm afraid I don't know what's going on," he said. "Where are we? What is this ship talking about? What happened?"

Her smile remained steady. She knew Iolaous well enough to be more than aware that he could take bad news better than many, but it was still her job to be as reassuring as possible.

"This ship - Stacy, she is called - has spoken the truth to you. We are currently aboard her and traveling through the endless number of universes that lie beyond our own. We have been chosen to aid her in an effort to both save and restore those who have been ravaged by beings known as the Ohm."
