Cassie Lang had found a quiet spot in the city where she hoped no one would find her. She lay down on the floor, hugged herself, and cried until there were no more tears left to cry. Sleep overtook her but her turmoil continued.
Dream Weaver had stumbled upon her dreams the first night by accident. It was obvious there was a heavy sadness on the girl, so Selene chose to watch the dreams. It was painful to watch them, but she did.
There was a point she couldn't quite stand, however. To see her struggling, she wouldn't get better if she just gave up.
It was time for a test, Dream Weaver decided and from her perch on the statue, made visible with her illusions, she plucked a cord on the lyre, letting the sound echo and allowed for the scene to freeze around Cassie, the smoke immediately around her fading from sight.
Cassie breathed and looked around, confused at the suddenly retreating smoke. She pushed herself up, or at least she tried to, her body barely responded to her commands.
Come on... She would have said the words but her mouth wouldn't move.
Selene watched and then then a sound whisper through the air for Cassie to hear. It was fate, but loud enough for her to hear, using a mix of Jonas' and Cassie's voices for the words. "Get up. Please, get up."

Now she wanted to see what Cassie would do.

She was still surrounded but at least the crowd wasn't laughing. "What do you-" Her eyes landed on Kang, or rather Iron Lad with Kang's face. "No..."
