The Ridevendor pulled up in front of Zedd's Palace as the occupant of it got off quickly, a cat leaping off after him. Zedd... still wasn't in the best of moods. Galilee still soured him and he had discovered that, well, he was chosen as "jester" of that prom thing was being set up. He knew for a fact that everyone would jump at the chance of making him a fool because of where he was.

And that was making him even more and more angry.

When he heard Philip's voice, his throne turned to face where the boy would be. "What do you want? Here to join in festivities of mocking me, too?"

"Neither actually." Mikku yawned as Philip held up the basket. A warm aroma wafted from it as he said, "I thought we could have dinner together. I brought your favorites: Mandravagian Stuffed Snake, Moo Goo Gai Pan and Sweet and Pungent Shrimp."

Mikku yawned. So this was the big bad of the ship huh? He looked pretty tough.

If Zedd could blink, he would. Why would anyone, more or less him, want to act nice towards him?

"This isn't some trick, is it? Nothing Billy or those brats that follow that talking book put you up to do?" he said, cautious. Hungry, yes, but he wasn't going to let his guard down for a moment.

Philip shook his head as he opened the basket and pulled out several covered dishes. "Not at all," he said, setting out disposable plates taken from the mess hall, complete with that weird spoon-fork thing that they had. Spork he recalled.

"I haven't had contact with any of them at all for several weeks from what my internal clock has told me," added Philip, factoring in the time difference. "You must be hungry, so I'll stay and eat. There's plenty for two."

Mikku meowed.

"Ah and Mikku needs his dinner too."

Mikku purred.
