The Jedi Temple.

He really needed to propose the Magic Department move to the Tower of High Sorcery. It really made a lot more sense, didn't it?

Oh well.

An illusory sign out front said "Welcome New Applicants", along with a magic mouth that welcomed them and gave brief instructions to the office he had reluctantly claimed after deciding that ( Read more... )

Celena had taken a moment away from her own work to come by the temple, a chance to stretch her wings, though soon after landing she took on her usual elven form and made her way into the office he had claimed.

With a warm smile on her lips she took a glance about the office before making her way over to where he sat, silent in her motions to hopefully sneak up on him until she slid her arms around him from behind his chair, "Stacy certainly has a sense of timing when it comes to the pod-releases to keep you busy it seems," she commented with a soft chuckle, "I hope the new arrivals aren't keeping you too busy,"

Could. Will. Do.

He won't claim to be the most experienced lover in the multiverse, but ever since that night in the 'consummation huts', it had struck him -- really grabbed him beyond a simple intellectual knowledge -- just what exactly the term 'lovemaking' meant. Not simple physical involvement, or physical pleasure, but emotional as well.

He had never truly considered such things before. He would never forget them, now.

Come the end of their antics, and the replete joy that came from simply holding each other in the aftermath, he murmured the words, "I love you." And he meant so very much more than three simple words, even words so charged, could ever indicate.

It was something that she was so very glad to be able to share with him, not just the physical involvements and pleasures but the emotional, every aspect and every moment they shared she cherished, moments she would never forget.

So simple yet meaningful words, drew such a warm smile to her features even moreso than had been drawn from the aftermath of their antics. Drawing a gently yet meaningful kiss to his forehead, murmuring softly, "I love you too," meaning every word and so much more.

Then he chuckled. "How long have we been 'married' now?" Despite a memory stretching back decades, it still seemed like forever.

"You know, human regents on my world would often marry purely for political reasons -- forging alliances and so forth. They'd pretend to be a true couple in public, for the sensibilities of the common folk, but everyone really knew it was a sham. It was a rare couple indeed that came to find any sincere amount of love in the course of what was essentially a business transaction."

She chuckled softly along with him, drawing gentle fingers through his hair as she thought back, "At least two pod-releases since we were, it's hard to say for any certainty given time here," she replied softly giving a peck to his cheek.

"I know well the ways of political marriage, an illusion for the people while just a business proposition for those involved...some turn out to be lucky however in such rare as they may be,"

"Maybe I'm just optimistic, but I'd have thought dragons would never have a real need for such a thing. Given your general power, size, and freedom, who could possibly make you do what you didn't want?"

Though he did wonder, just a little, if their relationship would cause trouble, when everything was back to normal.

She shook her head a little at that, "Such things happen very rarely amongst my people or the dragon's of Antara, it is amongst the other races that I have mainly seen such political marriage. Especially so amongst the nobility of such races,"

Almost as if she'd read his mind she gave a gentle kiss to his forehead reassuringly.

"Fortunately, it isn't common among elves, either," he said with a gentle smile. "I'm in a bit of an odd position, since I have quite a diverse group amongst my people, but after everything I've done I daresay I'm free to court, dally, or marry howsoever I see fit."
