Meat n' Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see ( Read more... )

Gone? No, that couldn't be. Shibuya couldn't just possibly be gone. All of the citizens, all of the people just couldn't possibly be gone just like that. But, it did make him just a little anxious. Though, if it was showing? Joshua was doing a damn fine job of hiding his worries behind that half smile, half smirk of his.

Although, what he was clothed with just wouldn't do. Spandex-like clothes? Did he look like he belonged to a sentai show? Ugh. He had to find his clothing or ask someone to make more for him while he was stationed on this ship who seemed to go by the name of Stacy. Quaint, he supposed ( ... )

Sharp eyed Jinx had spotted his cell phone and after composing herself (This was still alot to get into) she approached him with false confidence and a solid firm look.

"I don't suppose you get any reception on that thing now do you?" A silly question really but she was trying to figure out if it was just a phone, or something more. With the assembled minds of who knew how many geniuses and wizards from across the multiverse Jinx automatically slid into assuming things could be more then they appear.

Interrupted from his observations, Joshua turned to Jinx, giving her a slight smirk.

"I may, I may not," he said, looking at her. "You have sharp eyes there, don't you?"

She returned the smirk and settled those eyes on his, "One of my better features I'm told. And from the looks of things around here they'll come in handy."

That could be taken a few different ways.

"Not that I was planning on calling anyone." She added. Nobody to call for after all.

So the world he knew was gone.

Not only was he without Philip, but now everyone else was gone - Akiko, Terui, all of Fuuto--hell, all of Earth.

This area he'd been led to was full of strange people he didn't know. That was little consolation, especially after the awkward dressing in this...really weird suit. It wasn't his style at all. At least he had his hat - much as it didn't go with the suit.

For now, Shoutarou took up a spot against a wall, content to observe.

OOC: Whenever Philip or Hoshi tag in, that thread will be private to Shou, Philip, and Hoshi, but others can feel free to tag Shou on his own!

Through the crowd, Hoshi was holding out hope that maybe someone she knew was here, but so far, there wasn't anyone. Oh, well! She'd just have to keep on hoping for the best, then.

However, she paused and noticed Shoutarou, noticing him from the little demonstration that went on in the Sensoriums with Philip. She definitely had to tell Philip about this!

Whipping out the StagPhone, she made a quick call to him to come to the Observation Deck, then quickly hung it up, stashing it away.

"Hey, there!" she said in a cheery way, making her way over to Shoutarou. "I'm Hikari Hoshi, nice to meet you!" she added on, a grin on her face that went ear to ear.

Shoutarou was here.

He was awake.

Most importantly, he was HERE. And as such, he had made a beeline, taking the RideVendor to the tubes, up to Obs, into the press of crowds, and weaving his way towards where he figured he would be.

That hat.

"SHOTAROU!"

POUNCE.

The girl's greeting brought a confused look. He was still dazed from trying to absorb the sheer gravity of what happened, so he missed her use of the phone.

He wasn't sure what to do, really, but in the back of his mind, something nagged at him to at least be nice and introduce himself - no sense in being rude to someone else if they had to go through this as well.

He starts to hold a hand out. "My name is--"

"SHOUTAROU!"

He's got all of half a second to look before he falls on the ground.

Mark had found his old jacket in where everyone's possessions were. He did have a good amount of questions both for those in charge, and for himself. Were Mary Jane and Liz okay? What was going on here? Everyone just can't be... gone. He pulled his jacket tighter around his suit. "I have to keep it together and find them."

Peter stretch, yawning as he walked in. New podpop's were always interesting, although he didn't expect to see anyone he knew here.

And then he saw Mark. "No. No no noo. Of all the people I know, Stacy can not have woken you up."

Fortunately, (or maybe unfortunately) Mark saw Peter. "You're not exactly who I was hoping to see either. Do you know what's going on?" Mark didn't really care for Peter after all the stuff he did to his sister, but right now? He needed to know.

And Mark had tried to kill Peter twice now. Which was far worse than just having to run off every so often. "These things called the Ohm destroyed the universe. Well, multiple uinverses," Thus explaining stuff like the draconian and the viking, "but ours too. Stacy rescued a bunch of people with various useful abilities, and their families and friends."

"Basically, we've been recruited to stop the Ohm and attempt to restore our universes."

He'd been clothed. Clothed in something that felt like it was breathing around him. But at least it was clothing (and oddly reminiscent of the kind of stuff he'd had to wear during the war). But hey, he'd gotten used to walking around nearly half-naked. Well, he had years ago. He felt a bit out of place, a bit awkward. But he was forging ahead. He was going to get answers.

Because Jake did not like being jerked around by higher powers. In fact, it was pretty high on his list of things he never wanted to deal with again. He scanned the crowd - someone had to be in charge here, right?

< Prince Jake! > You have no idea how happy Ax is to see you right now, Jake. None at all.

Ax doesn't wade into the crowd -- the way Jake is looking around the place, he doubts that this is the same one from before. There's no telling what point in their timeline he's from.

< I'm over by the unsettling statue, > he continued in private thought-speak, as he'd been speaking before. < I can fill you in on what's going on. >

Jake's head snapped around. There was only one person in the world who called him Prince Jake with that kind of seriousness. And heh adn't seen Ax in... who knew how long? He finally caught sight of the Andalite as he followed Ax's directions, shouldering his way through the crowd.

Ax looked a bit young, but they all did. Still did. He managed a small smile as he approached. "Ax. It's good to see you-"

Wait.

"Fill me in? How long have you been here?"

< That's one of the things I need to fill you in on, > Ax said. < Unfortunately, the best answer I can provide is "awhile". Something about traveling through the Bleed-- > He gestured out at the bizarre, swirling patterns visible through the windows. < -- Interferes with my ability to keep track of time. But I've been awake since the ship started letting people out of the Pod Caverns, which has been a significant amount of time at this point.

< More importantly, people in the Pod Caverns have been taken from different points in the timeline. There are also sometimes versions of the same person from timelines that are so similar as to be impossible to distinguish. For example, there was a version of you awake on board earlier, if anyone you don't recognize recognizes you, that's why. >

Having been cleaned of the disgusting goo and given a plantsuit (more like a plant anklet, really. The thing was merely a small circle wrapped around one leg), Tobias had managed to make his way to the Obs deck, still in hawk form. He perched awkwardly on one of the meat couches, staring at the vast crowd and trying to digest what little information he had. Jake and Cassie were here. There was another war. They had to fight the Ohm.

Just another normal day in the life of Hawkboy, he thought ruefully, preening under one wing before returning his predator's gaze to the milling crowd. Someone here could answer questions, right?

As usual, Marco was scanning the crowd, trying to see if anyone from their world had shown up.

But chances are, Tobias's hawk eyes would spot Marco before Marco spotted him.

They did. Because Tobias has awesome eyes and you don't, Marco. So he fluffs up a bit, then calls out to Marco.

< Marco! Hey! >

Hey, Marco could have awesome eyes if he wanted to! He just...didn't have them right now. Either way, he didn't need eyes to hear that thought-speak, and his head jerked up when he heard it.

Tobias!

He looked around, trying to locate him. When he eyes fell on the hawk sitting on the couch, he grinned, and pushed through the crown to make his way over.

"Hey, Bird-Boy!" Marco said, flopping down on top of the couch. "Hate to break it to you man, but the meat couches aren't on the menu. You'll have to stick with mice." He tiled his head, thinking. "If we even have mice."
