Self therapy: Frak Freud's couch

There was an inner battle in her mind (wasn't there always?). On the one hand there was her personal distaste for anything tampering with or influencing her mind and on the other... On the other there was the craving- no, the need to split something in two. In the end, her anger at GLaDOS pushed her over the edge ( Read more... )

Sho was on his way to the sensoriums to do a little battle training of his own. A little exercise might help his apparent narcolepsy.

He sees the young lady exit the sensoriums and looking pleased with herself. Sho raises and eyebrow and gives her a meek wave of the hand.

"Uh, hey. Looks like you got a good workout in there."

Kerrigan regarded the teen. Her expression, while not soft by any means, was at least not as harsh as it was when she stepped out of the Sensorium.

"That's one way to put it. And why are you here?" Normally she wouldn't need to ask, but she had spent more of her psychic abilities than she should have fighting the simulated zerg. Not to mention what the Daligig had done to her.

"Oh, same thing, I guess." Sho replied, feeling a little more at ease. "Just going to get some exercise. I usually just take a walk every day, but I don't think that's going to cut it anymore."

One corner of Kerrigan's lips turned up in a half smile at his faulty assumption, even though she'd taken no steps to correct it.

"Not if you want to stay alive. Good to see you taking the initiative." She liked that.

"Not feeling all too hot there eh Kerrigan?" The familiar voice of someone from her neck of the woods could be heard nearby. Soon enough, the Spectre stepped out of the shadows that concealed him perfectly.

"I was wonderin' where you've been keepin' yerself... Doesn't look like it's anything much different from home eh?"

"I was held by GLaDOS for most of the time. As for 'home,'" She paused. "Perhaps but with a very important change." Killing the zerg had been tremendously satisfying, so much so that it almost completely overshadowed the pain she felt at being responsible for their demise.

"Were you hoping to catch me about to murder an unwitting crew member?"

"Can't say the thought didn' cross my mind Kerrigan. You've been known to lose your temper more often than not... And in a ship that can read our thoughts and tamper with them, I figured you'd be mighty uncomfortable."

He dropped his stance into a more relaxed one, slinging his rifle over his shoulder and reaching into his vest for a cigarette.

"Sorry to disappoint you." She replied flatly. "Going by those qualifications half of the crew is one step away from committing homicide." Granted, half the crew wasn't the Queen of Blades.

"How long were you watching me?"
