One more reason to keep on going

Jun 30, 2011 10:32

Irma was gone. Matt was gone. Just about everyone from their universe seemed to have been podded, and Kaya decided, in the wake of this, that she should still make sure the classrooms were kept clean. The place she was staying, Will's room with all of the gymnastics, had been clean after Kaya ad attempted a fairly rigorous workout. She had made ( Read more... )

Nokosi knew where Kaya was currently staying and in what part of the city the bus was; still he had never actually set foot into the thing.

Between Fontaine and him, it took the better part of ten minutes for one to convince the other that it was even a good idea to enter. It wasn't that he particularly cared about running into the other people who lived there, he just had no idea where Kaya was amongst what she had described as a 'very spacious place filled with many rooms.'

Ah, well! That just meant it was time for an adventure of exploration--something he would happily engage in. It was just a simple matter of tracking, anyways. He tried to keep himself focused on the task at hand, though it was hard when everything was so fresh and new!

Soon enough he found himself strolling around in Irma's room, which he would have started gushing over in wide-eyed awe, but it seemed he'd found who he was searching for. Walking to the edge of the pool Kaya was swimming in, he crouched and peered down into the water.

Kaya, who had left the doors of the bus opened so people approaching would not need the key cards for now, clearly saw Nokosi approaching. Rather than approach him from the pool though, she was feeling a little (only a little) show offy She swam from the pool in the center to the ones that were to the sides and seemed to emerge from the walls, a broad smile on her face.

"Hello Nokosi!" She greeted him. "How are you and Fontaine?"

"Very well! Much more so now that I have seen this very odd but interesting room!"

His voice was jovial, as was his expression and he stood up to face her. Fontaine warily looked at the pool on both the floor and walls as if he expected something to jump from them at any moment.

"And how are you this day?"

Kaya smiled, grabbing one of the nearby towels and wiping herself off, shaking her head a little to get the water out of her ears.

Zhin, who had her head laid down in her paws right now, observed the visitors with an almost bored expression, which meant she was fairly certain they were no threat to Kaya.

"I'm doing well! Just tending to the rooms right now: wherever Matt is, I know he'd want me to make sure these were used for their purposes: they are classrooms, after all."

Asuna had made her way into the various rooms not too long after Kaya had, just to make sure things were more or less straightened out. (Though, Hay Lin had already informed her there was no need to go into her room as it was always the way it was.)

Upon arriving at Irma's old room, the girl not sure if she should leave everything as it was or change it, Asuna's eyes widened a bit at seeing someone who wasn't Irma or anyone that she knew in the pool. A newcomer?

The extra set of clothes near the pool were also a sort of giveaway.

"Hello?"

Kaya started, then relaxed when she saw who it was. She had seen a simulation of the girl before, though up until now, they hadn't had a chance to really meet. She emerged from the pool in the center of the room, making sure to bend the water off of her with her hands clasped around each other.

"Oh, hi," she said, offering the girl a smile. "I'm sorry we haven't had a chance to get acquainted. You're Negi's partner Asuna, aren't you?"

Asuna smiled back herself, eyes unconsciously trailing up and down at the lack of clothes the other girl had on. She'd entered Irma's room...to swim? Not a bad idea, once she took it into serious consideration.

"...Yeah. Student 8, Kagurazaka Asuna. I've been busy myself lately. How do you know Negi?"

Well, something like that. It was one of Kaya's personal favorite rooms, and now with it lacking its owner,s he hoped to visit it more.

"Well, I've sort of been looking after him, as his onee-sama," Kaya said, still trying to get used to the word. "When he first got here, I think he was missing his sister and all, so he stayed with me awhile. I only stopped staying because his mother and you came, so I figure he might want some time with the people from his world, and I had to look after my Outsiders."

She reddened slightly. "Also? I would come here for Matt."

Later! Or, Eat This, Temporal Linearity! morgan_knight July 6 2011, 03:13:35 UTC
With a map guiding him here, Morgan had no real trouble making his way to the bus and knocking on the door. No, what bothered him, what held his attention, was the nearby Jedi Temple. He'd resolved to ignore it, or at least to not let it bother him, but that resolve had faded as he approached. And so now, even as he waited, he found himself frowning up at it.

Kaya heard someone approaching, so she made sure to greet at the door, as she had already promised to meet the man who had generously offered to help train some of the Outsiders.

And wow, he was quite easy on the eyes, no doubt about THAT. Still, she wasn't here to gawk, so she ushered him in.

"Glad to see you could make it! Um, is everything all right?"

True, long-haired prettyboy is pretty high up on any description of him, but damn it, he worked hard for this body.

"I was trying to avoid the Jedi Temple," he said, shaking his head as he stepped inside. "Bad memories, that's all. Don't mind me..."

Well. This place certainly didn't look to be this large on the outside. He really shouldn't have been surprised, but somehow he had failed to realize he was stepping into a reasonably-sized bus.

"Oh?" We, no point in prying: it wasn't, after all, any business of hers, something she would likely be reminded if she continued to ask questions. She knew enough when to shut up, after all.

"Right this way," she said, leading him into the common room. She already had something akin to a roast in the center of the table, accompanied by very alien looking vegetables as side dishes. "I thought you might be hungry, but I didn't know your food preferences."
