So, the hostages had been rescued successfully and were recovering. The crew members affected by the clock were back to their proper age

"Oh, right." That project. Which, judging by his expression, he didn't quite approve of, but he didn't bother to elaborate on that. That was the Council's problem anyway.
His little linefacer had gone back to normal size indeed, and had returned to her usual stomping ground in the City. Today, instead of a stack of books, her leather bag was bulging with pictures. Every picture of her she could find that needed to be hidden. Immediately.
Especially that picture Paco had taken of her discovering neat foods like tacos.
He had said there were songs about the tacos and tomatoes. (She had a sinking sensation that she would never be able to live that down.)She'd just rounded the corner when she saw her father working hard and stopped in her tracks. Well, it looked like she'd have to find another place to hide the evidence of her ever being little or cute.
Sherry was under the impression he just browbeat them into appearing, actually.
"Going to find my hiding spots in the city. And maybe find Kon." So that her proxy brother could burn the evidence of the photos up. "You picked a really weird place to do exercises from, Dad."
Seriously, Leon. Who did sit ups hanging over a fence? Who?
A guy who once ended up dangling upside down by one leg over a bottomless pit while holding up a suicidal cop and her mutated brother with one hand; that's who.
"I tend to find myself in a lot of really weird situations. This helps me prepare for them."
He eyeballed her bag, then looked back at her. "Looks like you have a pretty big stash you're taking to your hideout." He waved her closer. "What do you have in there?"
"I could do that too, you know. If I wasn't hurt. And if I felt like it."
Luis' arm was still in a hefty bandage, but it seemed that Faiza had finally had mercy on him and released him from his leg restraint in the med bay. He leaned against the side of the fence.
"You'll just have to convince me to show you sometime, clearly."
"Yes. It's just unfortunate that reciting the periodic table off the top of my head and backwards doesn't impress the ladies like it should," Luis sighed. "I'll just have to stick with my accent."
"Though you know, this does answer a lot of questions about the shape you're in."
Leon was an unfamiliar face for Lash to see as she moved around the city in search of pieces and parts for her many inventions. After returning to normal, she had gone right back into her old routine with renewed vigor, so spotting him of all people got her curious enough to walk up quietly to him before speaking. Her bag was already filled with pipes sticking out from all directions and pieces of metal she felt she could melt down into spare parts.
"Took a break from all the paperwork?" At least Lash assumed there was a lot of forms to fill out, having been a Commanding Officer once herself (but she always managed to get someone else to do it for her, as it was too boring.)
"I haven't seen you around here much. Or...at all actually! At least when I am. Any particular reason?" Hopefully a monster had escaped somewhere. Barely a full adult again and she already wanted in on some new action.
"Yeah higher ups tend to do that," Lash agreed, laughing. "Most people tend to think the higher you get up, the easier it becomes. Wrong! It just means the paper mountain gets bigger. I remember Lo--" wait that was from her younger memories. "I mean Sturm being stuck in his buildings for most of the time brooding and planning when I knew him. I was supposed to be in them too, but they could never keep a wunderkind like me in there for too long before it got boring."

Doc waved, his stance relaxed, expression fixed in a smile that came through in his eyes...
"Not that you look tired or anything, just curious."

"Well, there's a face... mask that I haven't seen in ages. Welcome back, Doctor."
Leon would fix the whole hanging-upside down thing, but he had a feeling that it wouldn't terribly bother the doctor much.

The Doc gave Leon a quick look head to toe. Even when there was no reason for it he couldn't quite stifle his instinct to check people for injuries.
"How have you been keeping?"

"Have been you getting yourself settled back in?"

"How many is that, Dad?"

"450," was his answer. Its not like abs like his grew on trees, you know.
"What are you up to?" Yes, he was going to have a normal conversation with her while he was hanging upside down. Deal with it.
