Standing in the back of the group of enemies is a woman who looks like she might be part of the simulation. Her sword, however, isn't drawn, and she's just regarding the hedgehog familiar and his Device (or whatever they are) appraisingly as he cuts through data constructs. Did she just happen by? Is this idle observation, or was she stalking the Sensoriums for a sword fight? (Yes.)

If he gets to the back, she might deign to fight him.

One of the things about being a four foot speedster was the height and speed advantage. Another was not feeling bad about who he had to fight. It was how he worked, anywho, so it wasn't that big of a problem. Reaching the end of the crowd did take some work and he was surprised to see the one at the end was a pink-haired girl.

"Huh? This is odd... is she a swordsman?" Caliburn asked.

"Probably is... never seen her before, though..." Sonic said, not standing down just in case.

Signum answers the question by drawing her own sword, a straight, one-sided blade with a shotgun pump on it for no apparent reason.

"I wasn't expecting to find a Device user on this ship I didn't know," she says by way of friendly not-introduction. "You're pretty fast."

Signum doesn't comment on his form or actual skill with the sword, because she's being polite.

"A Device user?" Caliburn said, confused. "I'm afraid you're mistaken - I am not this "Device", I am Caliburn."

"I'm guessing she either doesn't care or doesn't realize." Sonic said, grinning. Raising Caliburn, he takes careful consideration of whom he's facing. Someone with a sword with a shotgun pump attached is either a bit nuts or more prepared than he knows.

"...so. Who might you be?" Sonic asked.

She should have been keeping more tabs on the hedgehog, but Alessa had found that it had bothered her that he looked a bit like Shadow. The two could not be more dissimilar, and if anything, he held a cockiness so distasteful she thought it almost human. That hadn't quelled her curiosity though, so she sought him out, watching as he attempted to fight off these enemies in the Sensoriums.

She wasn't visible yet, but chances were he would sense her soon enough.

As the numbers started thinning, Sonic did happen to notice Alessa's presence.

"Huh. That creepy girl." Sonic uttered, bringing the match to a literal standstill. "Yo! What's up?" he called out.

Did he have special eyes? How on earth was he able to see her? Well, in any case she showed her presence, moving easily out of the way of the swordsmen. It isn't as of any of them were close to her speed anyhow.

She did hear that comment though. "Demon, that creepy demon, and I'll thank you to remember that," she said. "What are you doing?"

"Girl, demon, whatever." Sonic said, casually shrugging it off. "As for me, I'm practicing. Can't let myself get rusty. Not here."
