No, no, no... it's just an accident. She's around here somewhere...!That's all that was on Peter's mind as he searched the ship for Mary Jane. He knew she was here. He knew she was still a part of the group. She couldn't have just upped and vanished. Her last message had pointed her in the direction of the clothing store, but beyond seeing a tiny ( Read more... )

"Such unrestrained anger; that cannot be healthy." Tsukasa said, looking at the Web Slinger through the lens of his camera. "When you go about destroying buildings, you might not want to yell to the sky; you're going to be attracting plenty of attention with just the former, after all."

"I don't care right now..." Spidey said, trying to keep a better lid on his emotions. "This stupid ship... it brought someone I cared for out then just tossed her right back in. Like it was taunting me!"

Tsukasa leaned against an undamaged portion of wall, and looked up. "It sounds like the ship was offering you a little hope. It showed you that the person you cared for is still alive, at least. Others here don't even have that."

The younger of the two Spidey's was, given recent events, naely the return of Goliath, far more chipper. Walking through the city, humming a song, he eventually came across his older self.

"Jeez. What the heck happened here?"

"She's gone... MJ's gone..." the elder Spidey said, trying to calm down. "She was just here and now..." He shook his head. It was just his luck, wasn't it?

That was Peter's voice roaring out there, wasn't it?

Billy was startled out of his walk from checking on the bathhouse. He'd have to investigate something else before returning to work. If the Rangers' reclusive mentor was in trouble, he should know.

When he arrived on the scene, he saw the grief there plain as day, and the comments made the reason clear. "Stacy ripped away another important person, didn't she?" Billy asked sadly.

He kept his distance for the time being, waiting to learn more.

"My wife, Billy. She was here and... and now..." Spidey said, trying to calm down. Standing up to sit down on a small hill of debris, he couldn't help but remove his mask and rub his face.

"...I went through a lot of crap before this went down. I thought her dead, only to have her in the hands of a nutcase. Then she decided to get separated for a while before we really got back together. Then all of this and..." He shook his head, calming down. "...I used to think the universe hated me. Now I'm certain - it's the whole friggin' omniverse!"

"Gone that quickly?" Billy was surprised. It usually took longer than that for people to disappear, but he was getting all to used to loved ones being absent one way or another.

"Sometimes I've felt that the ship's been playing with my emotions as if on a chain, but it was nothing like that," he said quietly. "I'm sorry, Peter. That's...I can understand how it would almost be worse than never seeing her at all."

Howard came upon the lamenting arachnid.

"Web-Head?" he asked. "You, ah, you okay?"
