Grif had better uses for the media center than seeking knowledge or bettering himself.
Forget books, or whatever Stacy had. (He didn't know, did anyone expect him to read anything voluntarily?) There were movies here, and music, but most importantly there were games

Unfortunately, while he's doing that he collides with another ship.
"Agh, shit!"
The controls flash from yellow to red, indicating another lost health level. Or structural damage. Hell, he doesn't know, it just means he only has one... damage-unit-thingy left.
"C'mon c'mon c'moooonnnn..."
He just has to get out of this sector and blow up that asteroid and this level will be over. Five more seconds...
BOOM!
The screen zooms back to show his fighter being destroyed.
"What?! No way!"
...And now apparently he won?
He stares for a second, then laughs and slumps back in the chair. He beat the clock by a hair of a second, just before blowing up!
Then he notices Tavros.
"Oh, hey. It's you. Sup?" he says, the victory screen glowing softly as it waits for the indication to continue.
