For the first time in, well... ever, Sasami had seemed to be happy. Or at the very least, relaxed. Since the whole Punishment thing, she had started to try to prioritize everything around her. Her talk with Alessa and her time with Hay Lin made her realize that trying to be a grown up was probably not the best thing at all ( Read more... )

Upon entering the Sensorium, Alessa would be rather startled by this scene. It wasn't because she expected Sasami to always be miserable, but that she hadn't seen her friend look this blissful in a long time. She looked free of nightmares, and seemed to be enjoying herself: a feeling quite alien to Alessa herself, and she could feel that spark of jealousy shoved down by a quiet understanding that this was a scene she almost felt she did not belong.

Alessa, after all, was the very opposite of tranquility, of peaceful dreams.

But for a moment she was transfixed by this, drinking in a scene that, she realized, made her happy: knowing someone as bright and open as Sasami could find a private peace.

That made her...strangely happy.

Hearing the door open, Sasami turned her head to see who had came in. She smiled widely as she saw who it was.

"Alessa...!" She called out, waving her over.

It was still surprising to Alessa that she was able to bring a smile on anyone's face, but was happy enough that Sasami was smiling more than she had in months. She had been her friend, after all.

"Sasami," she said, and a small smile formed on her face. "How are you? You look fairly well today. Are you getting along with Negi?"

"I'm doing well! Thank you! And Negi and I are doing well, especially after... well... that whole mix up..." Sasami said, standing up to face Alessa. She opted not to pull back her hair at the moment. "What brings you in here?"

Vita entered the Sensorium on her usual patrols, and immediately found herself in some pretty...peaceful, nice place. Quite a relaxing athmosphere, she had to admit.

She spotted Sasami and carefully walked over to her.

"That looks pretty nice. Scene from your home, or something?"

"Hmm?" Sasami turned her head to see Vita and smiled, shaking her head as she did. "Nuh-uh. Just something random. Nothing special."

She tilted her head slightly as she continued. "Want to join me?"

"Err, alright?"

Vita took a seat, tentatively, and looked around. "Reminds me a bit of a planet called earth, they had places like this, too..."

"I know... I've been there, too. It really is wonderful." Sasami said, knowingly. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

"...That's what I like to see - children with big smiles on their faces!" a voice that Sasami would find very familiar by now popped up, as Hay Lin arrived inside the sensoriums not having expected to see it like this but it always seemed different every time she walked in!

"Whatcha doin'?"

"Oh! Hay Lin, hi!" Sasami said, her smile growing wider as she saw the girl enter. "Oh, I'm just relaxing... I had done some thinking after our little ice cream party and... I think I'm a lot better now."

"That's great, Sasami; you ever need anything, just ask and I'll do my best to help." Hay Lin smiled herself, ruffling the girl's hair as she got closer. "Care for some company under the tree?"

Sasami couldn't help but giggle as Hay Lin ruffled her hair. Scooting over, she made room for Hay Lin. "Go ahead!"
