Pirogoeth was much the same way. She craved for something that didn't feel so alien, but she hated to go to the Sensoriums for anything, but training. They were, simply put, too tempting to use to revive old ghosts.
However, Hydroponics was closer to normal and usually a rather peaceful place.
She had arrived with a datapad book she'd borrowed from the library and paused as she smelled smoke. For a moment, she was concerned there was a fire, but upon feeling the threads around her, there weren't enough for fire to actually be present.
So why did she smell smoke?
It was then she spotted Alistair. "Did thou have a fire until recently?" It could be there was a fire put out nearby.
He started a little, but then gave a smile, shaking his head. "Oh. No. Sorry! But I have been thinking a bit too hard. Brother Gerin at the Chantry always said I'd set my brain on fire if I did that too much. Perhaps I ought to stop?"
Alistair offered her a charming, if somewhat boyish smile.
"If I'm disturbing you, I could be on my way. Probably should be." After all, he was certain someone was probably looking for him by now...
"Is that possible for thine world?" Pirogoeth asked. Well, admittedly, she has seen it. Usually from people who tried to master fire magic and simply didn't have the talent for it.
Poor, poor souls, really.
Pirogoeth quirked an eyebrow slightly, her face mostly passive, but perhaps looking the tiniest bit amused. "Thee is hardly disturbing me. I just arrived. If anything, it should be an issue if I am disturbing thee."
"According to the brothers at the Chantry, it is possible for me," Alistair quipped. "Templars actually aren't known for their magical abilities, even if I'm not a particularly well trained Templar."
"I think I'm more disturbed by being here, on the ship, than I am by any of her crew members. So...you aren't disturbing me, no."
Since discovering Castle Cousland in the City, Yve hadn't ventured much further from there. She'd been able to occupy herself for a while with cleaning up and making the Castle a little more fit for living, once again.
Of course, she was very much still a restless wanderer, so after a couple days of that, she was back to exploring the parts of the ship she hadn't seen, yet. The second she entered Hydroponics she picked up on Alistair's presence, though she couldn't tell if it was, in fact him, or simply Namira again.
So she followed her nose, figuratively. When she spotted the former Templar she paused for a moment, not really sure how to approach him. Namira had filled her in on what was going on, but that still hadn't quite prepared her for a face to face encounter.
Too late for that now, she thought, sighing and moving towards the other Grey Warden.
"You look like you've got quite a lot on your mind." She knew Alistair's Deep Thinking face when she saw it.
Namira had told him about the other Warden. Did he remember her name? Maybe?
"You must be the Lady Cousland. Yve, was it?" Because clearly she wasn't the one from his world. Still, they were all there, and that meant that they had to stick together. If they were the only Wardens left, after all.
"Too bad there isn't a convenient mage here to get all grumpy at me, isn't there? Take the awkwardness right out of things!" Yeah, it was his lame attempt at a joke, but Alistair tried to smile anyway.
She looked momentarily startled by the use of her formal title, before half smiling and nodding her head.
"Yes, and just Yve is fine. I'm afraid the title is fairly useless, here." And even when she had been on her home turf she'd hardly used it once she became a Grey Warden.
She slowly moved a little closer, letting out a quick laugh at his attempt at a joke, tilting her head downwards and shaking her head.
"That's probably for the best, I'm not sure what I'd do with you if you were suddenly turned into a frog."
Hydroponics was awesome, Tavros thought, full of strange new animals for him to befriend. He'd been meaning to come down here, and now that he'd finally made the time for it he wished he'd done it sooner. Not just crazy different sorts of animals, but all these unknown trees with bizarre exotic fruits. It made him wish more of his friends were here. Terezi especially would love this...
His train of thought is interrupted by heavy footsteps. He turns, looking nervous, but smiles a little as he recognizes the adult wandering in his direction. They'd hatched into the pod room at the same time. His was the first human face Tavros had seen in his life. They hadn't spoken since, and Tavros had been wondering what had happened to him. He waves a little as Alistair draws closer.
"Uh, hey. Long time, uhh..."
Oh, crap. What was his name again? Tavros hadn't exactly been in the right frame of mind for it when they'd traded introductions. Ale-something? All-stairs?
"Tavros! Did you ever find your friend?" Not that he remembered the name of the one Tavros had actually been looking for. He's not that brilliant.
But the look on the young troll's face is familiar enough. "I'm Alistair," he says, with a cheerful smile (for him) crossing his own face. "How have you been? Settling in all right?"
He might say the same, except the fact that he's a little ripe would make him quite the liar. Though he hasn't lost his pants yet, which is a feat in and of itself.
"Alistair, right." Now he feels bad. Alistair definitely remembered his name.
"I'm, uh, doing okay. I started sharing a block with, um, someone nice, which is good." He shrugs. "There aren't any other, trolls here, but that's okay. Uh, how about you? Are any of your, friends here?"
Alistair fidgeted a little, then lifted a hand to rub the back of his head. "Well, it's really awkward, and a little creepy. There are two ladies here who say they know me, but it's not me, do you understand? Not that they're not very nice, because they are, but..."
He just shrugged.
"But at least you're sharing space with someone you like. That is good!"

Some things never changed. Apparently, Alistair's sense of humor was one of them.
"So...you've been doing all right?"
