Ba'al had made something of a habit of wandering the city, during the days. Due to its sheer size, it was less likely that he would run into anyone when he didn't want to, but it was still easy enough to come into contact with people when it suited him. Ronon himself was doing his daily jog through the city. It was his way of doing patrols for security too but most importantly, he used it to clear his mind and focus. So there he was mid thought, running around a corner when he ran into Ba'al.

For a brief enough second, Ba'al's face flashed in anger. He was tired of people running into him--literally or not. Did these fools not watch where they were going?

It didn't last, however. His expression quickly softened, before he spoke: "My apologies. Are you all right?"

Ronon could only grunt at first. He just missed Ba'al's expression in his brief confusion. Shaking himself out of it, he responded. "Yeah. I'm alright. Are you?"

Ba'al nodded, and flashed another one of his fake smiles. "I am fine, thank you," he said, giving the man before him a once-over. He wasn't familiar in any way. This was a completely new encounter. "I simply should have watched where I was going."
