Sparhawk is not normally one for brooding. His only real fit of brooding occured after his wife was kidnapped, and even then it mostly consisted of Sparhawk thinking of ways to track down those responsible, and what he would do with them when he caught up to them ( Read more... )

Kate was coming off from a patrol, and was stopping in to relax for a bit before curling up with something to read. She had her sword at her side, and her bow up on her shoulder along with her quiver.

"This was your home?" She quietly asked. "Seems peaceful."

Kate listened to that, and leaned back in her seat to stretch before glancing over at him again.

"Is that a not so subtle request for training? If you don't mind a lady teaching, that is?"

Sparhawk chuckles. "Ask any of my friends, Lady, and they will tell you that I'm not one for subtle. And yes, it would be a request."

He's fairly sure that any qualms he's having will be thwacked out of him a few times.

Kate grinned more and she stood up again, "Good, I'm usually practicing in one of these rooms after breakfast. Just let me know when you want to start."
