Everything was starting to get back to.. well it wasn't like it was before on the ship. Not after all that fighting going on and everything. For one member of the crew, unbeknownst to him, he had missed the entire thing because of one happy little people snatching AI. Kyle was rushing about the ship as he had been for the last day. So he wasn't at his most observant, and dashed right by Gavin before stopping and turning around. He stared for a minute at him before grinning. "Gavin! We'd been worried. Where have you been?"

"Apparently," the younger man said, groaning as he moved to sit up, "the cake is a lie. If someone offers you a chance for some? Run."

Brushing his hands off against his flight suit, Gavin winced as he worked his shoulder a little. He was never going to ask for a sweet again if he ever got out of this one alive. "Where's the fire? Haven't seen you run that fast in a while."

"Ohm attacked right as shore leave ended. We had to scramble. Managed to put a bit of a hurt on them, and they withdrew. Planet is toast, but at least the people are alright. Just been busy with recovery, and helping the wounded." Arha, and Dean in particular. "Glad to see you're alright at least."

Sithspit he wished he could greet him with better news.

For a moment Gavin just stared, black eye and all, before his jaw dropped. "Shore leave? Battle?! All right. I think I really deserve some cake for missing all that! You hear that, Glados? I want my cake!"

Sadly, he wasn't getting any. Sighing Darklighter started to push himself up off the ground dusting flecks of whatever it was that was on him off clearly not liking the fact he'd missed two important things going on with the ship. "How bad was it?"
